Subtask 52-11-21-010-063-A
A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841.
   (2) Open applicable forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
   (3) Obey the special precautions before you start the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-11-21-350-050-A
A. Repair of the Outer Handle of the Forward Passenger/Crew Door
   (1) Examine the outer handle for damage.
     (a) If you find damage, measure it.
     (b) If the damage is more than the limits, repair the outer handle in six months or less.
   (2) Repair the damaged area of the outer handle in six months or less as follows:
     (a) Carefully polish the damaged area and make sure that you do not increase the maximum depth ( SRM 517300).
     (b) Make sure that remaining thickness A is more than 1 mm (0.0394 in.).
     (c) Do a detailed visual inspection of the repair area to make sure that there is no other damage ( NTM 519000).
     (d) Do a HFEC inspection of the repair area to make sure that there is no crack ( NTM 511008).
     (e) Put back the surface protection ( SRM 512100).
     (f) Do an inspection/adjustment of the outer handle (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-00-820-001).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Obey the special precautions after you completed the work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
   (3) Close applicable forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
