3. Job Set-up
Subtask 52-11-12-860-052-A

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the linings on the support arms at the forward passenger/crew doors are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001):

For the left door: 831GZ and 831FZ
For the right door: 841GZ and 841FZ.

B. Prepare for the Installation
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

4. Procedure
Subtask 52-11-12-420-062-A

A. Installation of the Gust-Lock Control-Mechanism
(1) Install the nylon bushes (8) and (10) and guides (9).
(2) Install the pin (5).
(3) Install the arm (14) as follows:
(a) Put the arm (14) in position with the pin (5).
1 Install the pin (19) and washer (6).
2 Install the new AIPC 52-11-01-09-050 COTTER PIN (7) or AIPC 52-11-81-03-010 COTTER PIN (7).
(b) Put the arm (14) with the door support arm in position.
1 Install washers (11), (13) and pin (17).
2 Install the bolt (12) and nut (15).
3 Tighten the nut (15).
4 Install the new AIPC 52-11-01-09-183 COTTER PIN (16) or AIPC 52-11-81-03-550 COTTER PIN (16).
(4) Install the pushbutton switch assembly (4).
(5) Install the handle (1).
(6) Install the bolts (2), washers (3) and nuts (18).
(7) Tighten the nuts (18).

B. Installation of the Door Stay Mechanism

Door Stay Mechanism

(1) Put the mechanism (43) in position on the pins (44).
(2) Install the washers (42) and nuts (41).
(3) TORQUE the nuts to between 0.35 and 0.3 m.daN (30.97 and 26.55 lbf.in )

(4) Install the four new AIPC 52-11-01-06-010 COTTER PIN (40) or AIPC 52-11-81-03-010 COTTER PINS (40).

5. Close-up

A. Install the linings on the support arms at the forward passenger/crew doors (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-400-001):

For the left door: 831GZ and 831FZ
For the right door: 841GZ and 841FZ.
