Removal of the Forward Passenger/Crew Door with the Support Arm
CAUTION:
THIS PART IS A REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENT (RSC), WHICH CAN BE MOVED BETWEEN AIRCRAFT. THUS IT CAN HAVE DIFFERENT OPERATION CONDITIONS AND A DIFFERENT LIFE RECORD (FLIGHT HOURS/FLIGHT CYCLES/CALENDAR) FROM THE AIRCRAFT IT IS INSTALLED ON OR REMOVED FROM. THE OPERATOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPECIFIC TRACKING AND CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS OF REMOVABLE STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS. INCORRECT MAINTENANCE OF THESE COMPONENTS CAN CAUSE A RISK FOR THE FLIGHT SAFETY.

B. Get Access
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-11-11-865-059-A WARNING:
BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:
- THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
- THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING:
DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING:
STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position at applicable forward passenger crew/door 831 or 841. - KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
- CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(2) Open forward passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
(2) Remove the applicable door lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
Subtask 52-11-11-010-057-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-002).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
(2) Remove the applicable door lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door lining-panel instructions (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-52-00).
(3) Remove the applicable door frame lining-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005) or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002). NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door frame lining-panels instructions (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(4) Remove the door insulation blankets. D. Removal of the Components
(1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804).
(2) Remove the applicable door lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
Subtask 52-11-11-420-064-B (1) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door:
If installed, remove the left escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
(b) For the right door:
If installed, remove the right escape-slide raft-pack assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804).
(2) Remove the applicable door lining panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-46-000-001).
NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door lining-panels instructions (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-52-00).
(3) Remove the applicable door frame lining-panels (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-005) or (Ref. AMM TASK 25-23-45-000-002). NOTE: Refer to AMM chapter 06 for the door frame lining-panels instructions (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
(4) Remove the door insulation blankets. E. Installation of the Sling
(1) Remove and discard the two self-adhesive patches (3) from the hoisting points.
(2) Remove the two blanking plugs (1) from the door hoisting points.
(3) Remove the hoist fittings (2) from the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the hoist fittings (2) in the door hoisting points.
(5) Put the door in the up position.
(6) Install the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) on the door hoist fittings (2).
(7) If necessary, adjust the cable tension regulator to balance the door.
(8) Lift the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) to remove the weight of the door from the door suspension.
4. Procedure(1) Remove and discard the two self-adhesive patches (3) from the hoisting points.
(2) Remove the two blanking plugs (1) from the door hoisting points.
(3) Remove the hoist fittings (2) from the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the hoist fittings (2) in the door hoisting points.
(5) Put the door in the up position.
(6) Install the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) on the door hoist fittings (2).
(7) If necessary, adjust the cable tension regulator to balance the door.
(8) Lift the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) to remove the weight of the door from the door suspension.
Subtask 52-11-11-020-061-A
A. Disconnection of the Electrical Harness
(1) On the frame, disconnect connector 2819VC from the left side or connector 2818VC from the right side.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) On the support arm, remove the attachment clamps from the cable sheathes.
Subtask 52-11-11-020-062-A (1) On the frame, disconnect connector 2819VC from the left side or connector 2818VC from the right side.
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) On the support arm, remove the attachment clamps from the cable sheathes.
B. Disconnection of the Upper and Lower Guide Arms
(1) Disconnect the guide arms from the door side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-12-000-003).
Subtask 52-11-11-020-063-A (1) Disconnect the guide arms from the door side (Ref. AMM TASK 52-11-12-000-003).
C. Disconnection of the Door Support Arm
(1) Remove the screws (41) and the washers (42) from the supports, but not the bonding leads (40).
(2) Disconnect the door support arm (30) as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (31).
(b) Release the lockwasher (36).
(c) Remove the nuts (32) and the washers (33).
(d) Hold the door support arm (30) and remove the bolts (37) and (44), the lockwasher (36) then the spacers (34) and (45).
(e) Do an inspection of the lockwasher (36) and discard it, if damaged.
(f) Disconnect the door support arm (30).
(3) If necessary, remove the components from the support arm.
(4) Remove the bush (38), the adjustment washer (39) and the spacer (35).
Subtask 52-11-11-020-064-B (1) Remove the screws (41) and the washers (42) from the supports, but not the bonding leads (40).
(2) Disconnect the door support arm (30) as follows:
(a) Remove and discard the cotter pins (31).
(b) Release the lockwasher (36).
(c) Remove the nuts (32) and the washers (33).
(d) Hold the door support arm (30) and remove the bolts (37) and (44), the lockwasher (36) then the spacers (34) and (45).
(e) Do an inspection of the lockwasher (36) and discard it, if damaged.
(f) Disconnect the door support arm (30).
(3) If necessary, remove the components from the support arm.
(4) Remove the bush (38), the adjustment washer (39) and the spacer (35).
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE SUPPORT ARM OF THE REMOVED DOOR DOES NOT TOUCH THE SIDES OF THE DOOR FRAME.
(5) Remove the door. D. Removal of the Sling
(1) Remove the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) from the hoist fittings (2).
(2) Remove the hoist fittings (2) from the door.
(3) Attach the hoist fittings (2) to the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the blanking plug (1) in the hoisting points.
5. Close-up(1) Remove the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10) from the hoist fittings (2).
(2) Remove the hoist fittings (2) from the door.
(3) Attach the hoist fittings (2) to the 98A52008509000 SLING-UNIVERSAL,DOORS or the 98V52008861000 SLING- UNIVERSAL, DOORS (10).
(4) Install the blanking plug (1) in the hoisting points.

A. Installation of the Safety Barrier
(1) Install the 98D52003003002 SAFETY BARRIER KIT 4 in the opening of the removed door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-00-00-481-001).
