NOTE: This task is only applicable to aircraft with the door damper and emergency operation cylinder not connected to the CIDS.

A. Get Access
WARNING: DO NOT OPEN THE PASSENGER/CREW DOOR IF THE WIND SPEED IS MORE THAN 65 KNOTS.
WARNING: STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES. IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES, REMAINING PRESSURE CAN CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN SUDDENLY AND CAN:
  • KILL OR CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS
  • CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT)-ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.
   (2) Open the passenger/crew door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
4. Procedure
Subtask 52-10-00-210-080-A
A. Check of the Pressure.
CAUTION: THE PRESSURE ON THE PRESSURE INDICATOR OF THE BOTTLE MUST BE RELATED TO THE PRESSURE CORRECTED FOR TEMPERATURE.
   (1) Make sure that the door is open.
   (2) Do a check of the pressure:
     (a) Write the pressure value shown on the pressure gauge (1).
     (b) Compare this value with the value on the placard (2) for the ambient temperature.
NOTE: The minimum operating pressure value for the door to be serviceable is 1305 PSI at 20°C only for maintenance operation.
NOTE: To get a correct pressure, the air bottle must be stable at ambient temperature before you do the inspection.
NOTE: Bubbles in the pressure gauge with a maximum diameter equal to the dial are permitted.
   (3) If the pressure is not correct, charge the cylinder bottle. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-614-001)

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001):
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
