A. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 831(841) or 832(842).
(2) Open applicable passenger/crew doors 831 841 or 832 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).
Subtask 52-10-00-865-073-A (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at zone 831(841) or 832(842).
(2) Open applicable passenger/crew doors 831 841 or 832 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(3) Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

C. Removal of the Escape Slide
(1) Remove the door lining panels:
(a) For the forward passenger/crew doors:

(2) Remove the escape slide:
(a) For the left door, if installed:

- Remove the inflated left escape-slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-010).
- Remove the right escape-slide pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-802).
- Remove the inflated right escape-slide (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-803).
C. Removal of the Escape Slide Raft
(1) Remove the door lining panels:
(a) For the forward passenger/crew doors:

- Remove the left escape-slide raft-pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-012).
- Remove the inflated left escape-slide-raft (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-011).
- Remove the right escape-slide raft-pack-assembly (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-804).
- Remove the inflated right escape-slide-raft (Ref. AMM TASK 25-62-44-000-805).

(1) Removal of the lockwire:
(2) Measure the loads on the inner control handle with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL when the door is in the up and down positions.
(3) Make sure that the load necessary to open the door with the inner control handle is less than or equal to 18 daN (40.47 lbf).
(4) Turn the screw (2) to adjust the load on the torsion bar (1).
(5) Safety the screw (2) with the14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .

Load Adjustment of the Inner Control Handle ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
USE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Remove the lockwire from the screw (2). (2) Measure the loads on the inner control handle with the DYNAMOMETER 20 DAN (45 LBF) - PULL when the door is in the up and down positions.
(3) Make sure that the load necessary to open the door with the inner control handle is less than or equal to 18 daN (40.47 lbf).
(4) Turn the screw (2) to adjust the load on the torsion bar (1).
(5) Safety the screw (2) with the

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3) Close applicable doors 831 841 or 832 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make an entry in the logbook.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Obey the special precautions after work on the door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-860-002).
(3) Close applicable doors 831 841 or 832 842 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Make an entry in the logbook.
