Removal of the FWD RH Tie-Rods and Vibration Isolator (APS 3200)
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE APU UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).
WARNING:
LOCK THE MECHANISM OF THE ACCESS DOOR 316AR WITH THE PIP PIN WHEN YOU OPEN THE ACCESS DOOR. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT REMOVE MORE THAN ONE APU MOUNT AT A TIME WHEN THE APU IS INSTALLED. THE APU HOIST AND THE REMAINING TWO MOUNTS MUST SUPPORT THE APU WHEN YOU REMOVE AN APU MOUNT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the warning notices on panel 25VU to tell persons not to start the APU.
(2) Energize the ground service network (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001)
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ to on.
(4) Remove the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-22-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2) Open the APU access doors 315AL, 316AR. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-001)
(3) Set the light switch 11LJ to on.
(4) Remove the APU access doors 315AL 316AR (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-21-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-22-000-001).

A. Installation of the HOIST- MINILIFT
Subtask 49-12-52-020-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
OBEY THE HOISTING SAFETY PROCEDURES.
MAKE SURE THAT THE HOIST IS ASSEMBLED AND ATTACHED CORRECTLY BEFORE YOU PUT A LOAD ON IT. OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THE HOIST.
IF THE HOIST IS IN AN INCORRECT CONDITION THE LOAD CAN MOVE ACCIDENTALLY AND KILL PERSONS OR CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING:
DO NOT TURN THE HOIST HANDLE MORE THAN 90 DEGREES WHEN THE APU MOUNT BRACKETS ARE TIGHTLY ENGAGED ON THE VIBRATION ISOLATORS. IF YOU TURN THE HOIST HANDLE MORE THAN 90 DEGREES, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE APU AND THE APU MOUNTS. THEN THE APU CAN FALL AND KILL PERSONS OR CAUSE THEM INJURY.
(1) Install the A1-91-265 HOIST-MINILIFT (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-480-001)B. Removal of the Vibration Isolator
(1) Slowly wind the handle on the APU hoist until the APU hoist-cable is in tension.
(2) Remove the nut (15) and install the 98A49107504001 PROTECTOR-THREADS,APU MOUNTING BOLTS on the cone bolt.
(3) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (11).
(4) Remove the castle nuts (2)) and (13), the washers (1) and (12) and the bolts (5) and (17).
(5) Remove the tie-rods (4) and (6) from the vibration isolator.
(6) Remove the vibration isolator (16) from the APU mount-bracket (14).
(7) If necessary remove the tie-rods (4) and/or (6).
(a) Remove the nuts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (7).
(b) Remove the nuts (25), the washers (23) and the screws (22).
(c) Remove the clamps (26) and (27) and the bonding strap (24) from the tie-rod (4).
(d) Disconnect the bonding straps (10).
(e) Remove and discard the cotter pins (21).
(f) Remove the castle nuts (20), the washers (19) and the bolts (18).
(g) Remove the tie-rods (4) and/or (6).
(1) Slowly wind the handle on the APU hoist until the APU hoist-cable is in tension.
(2) Remove the nut (15) and install the 98A49107504001 PROTECTOR-THREADS,APU MOUNTING BOLTS on the cone bolt.
(3) Remove and discard the cotter pins (3) and (11).
(4) Remove the castle nuts (2)) and (13), the washers (1) and (12) and the bolts (5) and (17).
(5) Remove the tie-rods (4) and (6) from the vibration isolator.
(6) Remove the vibration isolator (16) from the APU mount-bracket (14).
(7) If necessary remove the tie-rods (4) and/or (6).
(a) Remove the nuts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (7).
(b) Remove the nuts (25), the washers (23) and the screws (22).
(c) Remove the clamps (26) and (27) and the bonding strap (24) from the tie-rod (4).
(d) Disconnect the bonding straps (10).
(e) Remove and discard the cotter pins (21).
(f) Remove the castle nuts (20), the washers (19) and the bolts (18).
(g) Remove the tie-rods (4) and/or (6).
