Removal of the Oxygen Sensor

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 191.
(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).

(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).
Subtask 47-41-15-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Oxygen Sensor
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (12) from the oxygen sensor (15).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Attach the electrical connector (12) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (16).
(2) Disconnection of the bonding strap (9).
(a) Remove the bolt (11), the washer (10) and the bonding strap (9).
(b) Attach the bonding strap (9) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (16).
(3) Removal of the O2 sensor duct assembly (duct assembly) (1) and the O2 sensor hose assembly (hose assembly) (6).
(a) Remove the screw (4), the washer (3) and the clamp (2).
(b) Loosen the end fittings of the duct assembly (1), to disconnect it from the first tube union (5) and from the oxygen sensor (15).
(c) Remove the duct assembly (1).
(d) Remove the first tube union (5).
(e) Loosen the end fitting of the hose assembly (6), to disconnect it from the second tube union (5).
(f) Remove the hose assembly (6).
(4) Remove the second tube union (5) from the ASM NEA duct assembly (NEA duct assembly) (8).
(a) Remove and discard the packing (7).
(5) Remove the bolts (13), the washers (14) and the oxygen sensor (15).
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
WARNING:
DO NOT GO INTO THE WORK AREA UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL. LET AIR FLOW THROUGH THE WORK AREA. AIR FROM THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OXYGEN CONTENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
CAUTION:
REMOVE OR INSTALL PACKING SEALS CAREFULLY. DAMAGE TO SEALS OR SEALING SURFACES CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE AND CORROSION.
(1) Disconnection of the electrical connector (12). (a) Disconnect the electrical connector (12) from the oxygen sensor (15).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Attach the electrical connector (12) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (16).
(2) Disconnection of the bonding strap (9).
(a) Remove the bolt (11), the washer (10) and the bonding strap (9).
(b) Attach the bonding strap (9) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (16).
(3) Removal of the O2 sensor duct assembly (duct assembly) (1) and the O2 sensor hose assembly (hose assembly) (6).
(a) Remove the screw (4), the washer (3) and the clamp (2).
(b) Loosen the end fittings of the duct assembly (1), to disconnect it from the first tube union (5) and from the oxygen sensor (15).
(c) Remove the duct assembly (1).
(d) Remove the first tube union (5).
(e) Loosen the end fitting of the hose assembly (6), to disconnect it from the second tube union (5).
(f) Remove the hose assembly (6).
(4) Remove the second tube union (5) from the ASM NEA duct assembly (NEA duct assembly) (8).
(a) Remove and discard the packing (7).
(5) Remove the bolts (13), the washers (14) and the oxygen sensor (15).
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
