C. Get Access
(1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).
Subtask 47-41-13-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the pressure sensor.
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the pressure sensor (5).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Temporarily attach the electrical connector (6) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet.
(3) Carefully remove the pressure sensor (5) from the sensor inlet port (2) on the ASM inlet-duct assembly (duct assembly) (1).
(4) Remove and discard the packing (3).
(5) Remove the shim(s) (4) from the pressure sensor (5).
WARNING:
DO NOT GO INTO THE WORK AREA UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL. LET AIR FLOW THROUGH THE WORK AREA. AIR FROM THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OXYGEN CONTENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
CAUTION:
REMOVE OR INSTALL PACKING SEALS CAREFULLY. DAMAGE TO SEALS OR SEALING SURFACES CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE AND CORROSION.
(1) Disconnection of the electrical connector (6). (a) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the pressure sensor (5).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Temporarily attach the electrical connector (6) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(2) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire. (3) Carefully remove the pressure sensor (5) from the sensor inlet port (2) on the ASM inlet-duct assembly (duct assembly) (1).
(4) Remove and discard the packing (3).
(5) Remove the shim(s) (4) from the pressure sensor (5).
NOTE: Record the quantity of shim(s) for the installation procedure.
(6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
