Removal of the Dual-Flow and Shut-off Valve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
YOU MUST PUT ON AND ATTACH A SAFETY HARNESS BEFORE YOU START WORK:
- ON THE THS OR IN THE REAR FUSELAGE
- ON TOP OF THE WINGS OR PYLONS.
WARNING:
DO NOT GO INTO THE WORK AREA UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL. LET AIR FLOW THROUGH THE WORK AREA. AIR FROM THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OXYGEN CONTENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 191.
(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zone 191.
(2) Remove forward belly-fairing panel 191AB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-25-11-000-001).
Subtask 47-21-43-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Dual-Flow and Shut-off Valve
(a) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the Dual-Flow and Shut-off Valve (DFSOV) (9).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Attach the electrical connector (6) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (1).
(2) Release and remove the coupling assembly (4).
(b) Move the sleeve across the packing (5) to the inlet fitting DFSOV (9), until the sleeve is at the bottom.
(b) Move the sleeve across the packing (10) to the outlet fitting DFSOV (9), until the sleeve is at the bottom.
(5) Remove and discard the packing (3) from the duct assembly (2).
(6) Remove and discard the packing (12) from the duct assembly (13).
(7) Remove the sleeve from the DFSOV (9).
(8) Keep the sleeve with the coupling assembly (4).
(9) Remove the sleeve from the DFSOV (9).
(10) Keep the sleeve with the coupling assembly (11).
(11) Remove and discard the packing (5) and (10) from the DFSOV (9).
(12) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
(1) Disconnection of the electrical connector (6). (a) Disconnect the electrical connector (6) from the Dual-Flow and Shut-off Valve (DFSOV) (9).
(b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(c) Attach the electrical connector (6) with a TIE WRAP to the IGGS pallet (1).
(2) Release and remove the coupling assembly (4).
NOTE: The clamp and the sleeve fit together to make one coupling assembly (4).
(a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp to remove and retain the clamp. (b) Move the sleeve across the packing (5) to the inlet fitting DFSOV (9), until the sleeve is at the bottom.
NOTE: Do not remove the sleeve until you remove the DFSOV (9).
(3) Release and remove the coupling assembly (11). NOTE: The clamp and the sleeve fit together to make one coupling assembly (11).
(a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp to remove and retain the clamp. (b) Move the sleeve across the packing (10) to the outlet fitting DFSOV (9), until the sleeve is at the bottom.
NOTE: Do not remove the sleeve until you remove the DFSOV (9).
(4) Remove the bolts (8), the washers (7) and the DFSOV (9). (5) Remove and discard the packing (3) from the duct assembly (2).
(6) Remove and discard the packing (12) from the duct assembly (13).
(7) Remove the sleeve from the DFSOV (9).
(8) Keep the sleeve with the coupling assembly (4).
(9) Remove the sleeve from the DFSOV (9).
(10) Keep the sleeve with the coupling assembly (11).
(11) Remove and discard the packing (5) and (10) from the DFSOV (9).
(12) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
