4. Procedure
Subtask 47-21-41-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Isolation Valve (Gate Valve).
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Remove blanking caps from the inlet and outlet fittings of the Gate Valve (1).
   (4) Remove blanking caps from the IGGS pallet duct assembly and the inlet fitting of the filter assembly.
   (5) Install the bracket (5) to the back of the Gate Valve (1) with the screws (9) and the washers (8).
   (6) Support the Gate Valve (1) and TORQUE the screws (9) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in ) T.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION: REMOVE OR INSTALL PACKING SEALS CAREFULLY. DAMAGE TO SEALS OR SEALING SURFACES CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE AND CORROSION.
   (7) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to the new AIPC 47-21-04-01-020 PACKING (2) or AIPC 47-21-84-01-020 PACKING (2), AIPC 47-21-04-01-020 PACKING (4) or AIPC 47-21-84-01-020 PACKING (4), AIPC 47-21-04-01-020 PACKING (10) or AIPC 47-21-84-01-020 PACKING (10) and AIPC 47-21-04-01-020 PACKING (12) or AIPC 47-21-84-01-020 PACKING (12).
   (8) Install the new packing (2) to the outlet fitting of the Gate Valve Assembly (1).
   (9) Install the new packing (12) to the inlet fitting of the Gate Valve Assembly (1).
   (10) Install the new packing (10) to the IGGS pallet duct assembly.
   (11) Install the new packing (4) to the inlet fitting of the filter assembly.
   (12) Install the sleeves to the Gate Valve (1).
     (a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp on the coupling assembly (3) to release the sleeve.
     (b) Put the sleeve in position on the outlet fitting of the Gate Valve (1). Push the sleeve until it is at the bottom of the outlet fitting.
     (c) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp on the coupling (11) to release the sleeve.
     (d) Put the sleeve in position on the inlet fitting of the Gate Valve (1). Push the sleeve until it is at the bottom of the inlet fitting.
   (13) Install the Gate Valve (1) to the IGGS Pallet.
     (a) Put the Gate Valve (1) with bracket (5) in position on the IGGS pallet.
     (b) Then, support the Gate Valve Assembly (1) and use the washers (7) and the screws (6) to loosely attach the bracket (5) in position on the IGGS pallet.
NOTE: Install the screws (6) by hand at this step, loosely assemble so that the gate valve can be aligned correctly.
   (14) Install the clamp of the coupling assembly (3) to the sleeve.
     (a) Move the sleeve across the packing (4) and install it on the inlet fitting of the filter assembly.
NOTE: Make sure that each packing (2) and (4) is below the sleeve, and that the distance between each packing (2) and (4) and each sleeve end is equal.
     (b) Install the clamp to the coupling assembly (3) and engage the latches.
   (15) Install the clamp of the coupling assembly (11) to the sleeve.
     (a) Move the sleeve across the packing (10) and install it on the IGGS duct assembly.
NOTE: Make sure that each packing (10) and (12) is below the sleeve, and that the distance between each packing (10) and (12) and each sleeve end is equal.
     (b) Install the clamp to the coupling assembly (11) and engage the latches.
   (16) Safety the bracket (5) to the IGGS pallet.
     (a) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in )
T to safety the bracket (5).
   (17) Connection of the electrical connector.
     (a) Remove the TIE WRAP that attaches the electrical connector (13) to the IGGS pallet.
     (b) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
     (d) Connect the electrical connector (13) to the Gate Valve (1).
