A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: BEFORE YOU DO WORK IN OR NEAR A FUEL TANK, MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE SAFETY PROCEDURES. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.
   (1) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S) in position.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).

D. Get Access
   (1) Remove the cabin-floor access panels between FR35 and FR42 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002) (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
   (2) Remove the forward cargo-compartment partition-panels at FR34 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001) (Ref. AMM D/O 06-41-53-00).
4. Procedure
Subtask 47-20-49-020-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the NEA line
NOTE: Two persons are necessary to do this procedure.
   (1) To remove the NEA pipe (1):
     (a) Remove the self-locking nuts (19) and the washers (18) from the clamps (17) and (26).
     (b) Remove the screws (22) and the washers (23) and disconnect the bonding leads (15) from the clamps (17) and (26).
     (c) Remove the self-locking nuts (38) and the washers (39) from the clamps (40) and (43).
     (d) Remove the screws (41) and the washers (42) and disconnect the bonding leads (44) from the clamps (40) and (43).
     (e) Remove the self-locking nut (29) and the washer (31) from the clamp (32).
     (f) Remove the screw (34) and the washer (33) and disconnect the bonding lead (35) from the clamp (32).
     (g) Loosen the nut (16) from the union (27) and carefully disengage the NEA pipe (1).
     (h) Loosen the nut (52) from the union (45) and carefully disengage the NEA pipe (1) from the NEA pipe (2).
     (i) Remove the bolts (20), (37) and the washers (21), (36) and disconnect the clamps (24), (30) from the support brackets (25), (28).
     (j) Put CAP - BLANKING at the ends of the disconnected pipe.
   (2) To remove the NEA pipe (2):
     (a) Remove the self-locking nuts (46) and the washers (47) from the clamps (50) and (51).
     (b) Remove the screws (48) and the washers (49) and disconnect the bonding leads (44) from the clamps (50) and (51).
     (c) Remove the self-locking nuts (86) and the washers (87) from the clamps (88) and (92).
     (d) Remove the screws (84) and the washers (85) and disconnect the bonding leads (83) from the clamps (88) and (92).
     (e) Loosen the nut (82) from the union (93) and carefully disengage the NEA pipe (2) from the NEA pipe (3).
     (f) Remove the bolts (75), (90) and the washers (74), (89) and disconnect the clamps (73), (91) from the support brackets (72), (94).
     (g) Put CAP - BLANKING at the ends of the disconnected pipe.
   (3) To remove the NEA pipe (3):
     (a) Remove the self-locking nuts (76) and the washers (77) from the clamps (80) and (81).
     (b) Remove the screws (79) and the washers (78) and disconnect the bonding leads (83) from the clamps (80) and (81).
     (c) Remove the self-locking nut (121) and the washer (120) from the clamp (119).
     (d) Remove the screw (116) and the washer (117) and disconnect the bonding lead (118) from the clamp (119).
     (e) Loosen the nut (126) from the union (125) and carefully disengage the NEA pipe (3) from the NEA flexible hose (4).
     (f) Remove the bolt (122) and the washer (123) and disconnect the clamp (124) from the support bracket (115).
     (g) Put CAP - BLANKING at the ends of the disconnected pipe.
   (4) To remove the NEA flexible hose (4):
     (a) Loosen the nut (127) and disconnect the flexible hose (4) from the elbow (128).
     (b) Loosen the nut (129) and disconnect the elbow (128) from the dual-flapper check valve adapter (130).
     (c) Put CAP - BLANKING at the ends of the disconnected pipe.
