3. Job Set-up
Subtask 47-10-43-010-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Remove the IGGS Pallet (Ref. AMM TASK 47-11-41-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 47-10-43-920-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Air Separation Module (ASM) Replacement
(1) Removal of the ASM (1):
(a) Remove the Nitrogen Enriched Air (NEA) outlet (22):
1 Hold the NEA outlet (22) and remove the nut (6).
2 Remove the screw (23), the washer (24), the clamp (25) and the NEA duct standoff (30).
3 Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp (28) to remove and retain it.

NOTE: The clamp (28) and the sleeve (27) fit together to make the coupling assembly.

4 Move the sleeve (27) across the packing (29) to the Dual Flow and Shut-Off Valve (DFSOV) outlet fitting (3).
5 Remove the NEA outlet (22) from the bracket (5).
6 Remove and discard the packings (26) and (29).
7 Remove the sleeve (27) from the DFSOV outlet fitting (3) and keep it with the clamp (28).
(b) Remove the ASM (1):
1 Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp (12) to remove and retain it.

NOTE: The clamp (12) and the sleeve (13) fit together to make the coupling assembly.

2 Move the sleeve (13) across the packing (11) to the NEA outlet (4).
3 Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp (18) to remove and retain it.

NOTE: The clamp (18) and the sleeve (17) fit together to make the coupling assembly.

4 Move the sleeve (17) across the packing (16) to the air stream inlet (10).
5 Hold the ASM (1) and remove the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the ASM straps (7).
6 Remove and discard the ASM (1).
7 Remove and discard the packings (11) and (16).
8 Remove the sleeve (13) from the NEA outlet (4) and keep it with the clamp (12).
9 Remove the sleeve (17) from the air stream inlet (10) and keep it with the clamp (18).
(c) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(2) Installation of a new ASM (1):
(a) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(b) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(c) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(d) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to:
(e) Install the packing (11) on the NEA outlet (4).
(f) Install the packing (14) on the ASM NEA outlet (15).
(g) Install the packing (19) on the ASM air inlet (20).
(h) Install the packing (16) on the air stream (10).
(i) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamps (12) and (18) to release the sleeves (13) and (17).
(j) Install the sleeve (13) on the NEA outlet (4) and the sleeve (17) on the air stream inlet (10).

NOTE: The clamps (12), (18) and the sleeves (13) and (17) fit together to make the coupling assembly.

(k) Install the ASM (1):
1 Put the ASM (1) on its position and align the inlet and outlet mounting grooves of the ASM (1) with the IGGS pallet (pallet) frame clamps.
2 Make sure that the clearance A between the external surface of the Oxygen Enriched Air (OEA) port (2) of the ASM (1) and the side panel of the pallet structure is 10.41 -0.762 mm or +0.762 mm (0.41 -0.03 in. or +0.03 in.).
3 Install the ASM straps (7) with the washers (8) and the bolts (9).
4 Tighten the bolts (9).

NOTE: Do not torque the bolts (9). The ASM (1) must be able to turn.

5 Install the clamp (12) on the sleeve (13):
a Move the sleeve (13) to the ASM NEA outlet (15).

NOTE: Make sure that each packing (11) and (14) is below the sleeve (12), and that the distance between each packing (11) and (14) and each sleeve (12) end is equal.

b Install the clamp (12) on the sleeve (13) and engage the latches to tighten the clamp (12).
6 Install the clamp (18) on the sleeve (17):
a Move the sleeve (17) to the ASM air inlet (20).

NOTE: Make sure that each packing (16) and (19) is below the sleeve (17), and that the distance between each packing (16) and (19) and each sleeve (17) end is equal.

b Install the clamp (18) on the sleeve (17) and engage the latches to tighten the clamp (18).
(l) Install the NEA outlet (22):
1 Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to:

2 Install the packing (26) on the NEA outlet (22).
3 Install the packing (29) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).
4 Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp (28) to release the sleeve (27).
5 Install the sleeve (27) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).

NOTE: The clamp (28) and the sleeve (27) fit together to make the coupling assembly.

6 Hold the NEA outlet (22) and put the outlet end (21) through the hole in the bracket (5).
7 Install the NEA outlet (22) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).
8 Install the clamp (28) on the sleeve (27):
a Move the sleeve (27) to the NEA outlet (22).

NOTE: Make sure that each packing (26) and (29) is below the sleeve (27), and that the distance between each packing (26) and (29) and each sleeve (27) end is equal.

b Install the clamp (28) on the sleeve (27) and engage the latches to tighten the clamp (28).
9 Install the clamp (25) over the NEA outlet (22).
10 Install the NEA duct standoff (30), the washer (24) and the screw (23).
11 Make sure all the installed components are aligned.
12 TORQUE the screw (23) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in )

13 Install the nut (6) onto the outlet end (21).
14 TORQUE the nut (6) to between 1.19 and 1.07 m.daN (105.31 and 94.69 lbf.in )

(m) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in )

5. Close-up

(1) Install the IGGS pallet (Ref. AMM TASK 47-11-41-400-001).
