Subtask 47-10-43-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Air Separation Module (ASM)
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (4) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to:
   (5) Install the packing (11) on the NEA outlet (4).
   (6) Install the packing (14) on the ASM NEA outlet (15).
   (7) Install the packing (19) on the ASM air inlet (20).
   (8) Install the packing (16) on the air stream inlet (10).
   (9) Pull the latch pawls of the clamps (12) and (18) to release the sleeves (13) and (17).
   (10) Install the sleeve (13) on the NEA outlet (4) and the sleeve (17) on the air stream inlet (10).
NOTE: The clamps (12) and (18) and the sleeves (13) and (17) attach together to make the coupling assembly.
   (11) Install the ASM (1) as follows:
     (a) Put the ASM (1) in its correct installation position and align the inlet and outlet mounting grooves of the ASM (1) with the IGGS pallet-frame clamps.
     (b) Make sure that clearance A between the Oxygen Enriched Air (OEA) port (2) of the ASM (1) and the pallet structure is 10.41 mm (0.410 in.).
     (c) Install the ASM straps (7) with the washers (8) and the bolts (9).
     (d) Tighten the bolts (9) with your hand.
NOTE: To turn the ASM (1), it is not necessary to torque the bolts (9) at this time.
     (e) Install the clamp (12) on the sleeve (13) as follows:
1 Move the sleeve (13) to the ASM NEA outlet (15).
NOTE: We recommend that you install the packings (11) and (14) below the sleeve (13). This will make sure that the distance between the packings (11) and (14) will be equal to the end of the sleeve (13).
2 Install the clamp (12) on the sleeve (13).
3 Engage the latches to tighten clamp (12).
     (f) Install the clamp (18) on the sleeve (17) as follows:
1 Move the sleeve (17) to the ASM air inlet (20).
NOTE: We recommend that you install the packings (16) and (19) below the sleeve (17). This will make sure that the distance between the packings (16) and (19) will be equal to the end of the sleeve (17).
2 Install the clamp (18) on the sleeve (17).
3 Engage the latches to tighten the clamp (18).
   (12) Install the NEA outlet (22) as follows:
     (a) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to:
     (b) Install the packing (26) on the NEA outlet (22).
     (c) Install the packing (29) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).
     (d) Pull the latch pawls of the clamp (28) to release the sleeve (27).
     (e) Install the sleeve (27) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).
NOTE: The clamp (28) and the sleeve (27) attach together to make the coupling assembly.
     (f) Hold the NEA outlet (22) and put the outlet end (21) through the hole in the bracket (5).
     (g) Install the NEA outlet (22) on the DFSOV outlet fitting (3).
     (h) Install the clamp (28) on the sleeve (27) as follows:
1 Move the sleeve (27) to the NEA outlet (22).
NOTE: We recommend that you install the packings (26) and (29) below the sleeve (27). This will make sure that the distance between the packings (26) and (29) will be equal to the end of the sleeve (27).
2 Install the clamp (28) on the sleeve (27).
3 Engage the latches to tighten the clamp (28).
     (i) Install the clamp (25) on the NEA outlet (22).
     (j) Install the NEA duct standoff (30), the washer (24) and the screw (23).
     (k) Make sure that the installed components are correctly aligned.
     (l) TORQUE the screw (23) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in )
T.
     (m) Install the nut (6) in the outlet end (21).
     (n) TORQUE the nut (6) to between 1.19 and 1.07 m.daN (105.31 and 94.69 lbf.in )
T.
   (13) TORQUE the bolts (9) to between 0.36 and 0.27 m.daN (31.86 and 23.89 lbf.in )
