Subtask 47-10-41-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Filter Assembly
WARNING: DO NOT GO INTO THE WORK AREA UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL. LET AIR FLOW THROUGH THE WORK AREA. AIR FROM THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OXYGEN CONTENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
CAUTION: REMOVE OR INSTALL PACKING SEALS CAREFULLY. DAMAGE TO SEALS OR SEALING SURFACES CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE AND CORROSION.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (3) Remove the blanking caps from the inlet fitting (7), the outlet fitting (14), the isolation valve outlet and the IGGS pallet inlet.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (4) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.03GEE1) to the new AIPC 47-10-03-01-020 PACKING (8) or AIPC 47-10-83-01-020 PACKING (8) and AIPC 47-10-03-01-020 PACKING (13) or AIPC 47-10-83-01-020 PACKING (13).
   (5) Install the new packing (8) to the inlet fitting (7).
   (6) Install the new packing (13) to the outlet fitting (14).
   (7) Apply a thin layer of Synthetic Oil base Grease-Fuel and Oxidized Environment Fluorinated - (Material No.
03GEE1) to the new AIPC 47-21-04-01-020 PACKING (10) or AIPC 47-21-84-01-020 PACKING (10) and AIPC 47-10-03-01-020 PACKING (11) or AIPC 47-10-83-01-020 PACKING (11).
   (8) Install the new packing (10) on the isolation valve outlet.
   (9) Install the new packing (11) on the IGGS pallet inlet.
   (10) Install the sleeves on the filter (6):
     (a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp on the coupling assembly (9) to release the sleeve.
     (b) Put the sleeve in position against the inlet fitting (7). Push the sleeve until it is at the bottom of the inlet fitting (7).
     (c) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp on the coupling assembly (12) to release the sleeve.
     (d) Put the sleeve in position against the outlet fitting (14). Push the sleeve until it is at the bottom of the outlet fitting (14).
   (11) Install the filter (6) on the IGGS pallet:
     (a) Carefully put the filter (6) in position on the IGGS pallet.
     (b) Support the filter (6) and use the screws (1) and the washers (2) to install it on the IGGS pallet.
NOTE: Install the screws (1) by hand at this step, loosely assembled so the filter (6) can be aligned correctly.
   (12) Install the clamp of the coupling assembly (12) to the sleeve:
     (a) Move the sleeve across the packing (11) and (13) and install it on the IGGS pallet inlet.
NOTE: Make sure that each packing (11) and (13) is below the sleeve, and that the distance between each packing (11) and (13) and each sleeve end is equal.
     (b) Install the clamp on the coupling assembly (12) to the sleeve and engage the latches.
   (13) Install the clamp of the coupling assembly (9) to the sleeve:
     (a) Move the sleeve across the packing (8) and (10) and install it on the isolation valve outlet.
NOTE: Make sure that each packing (8) and (10) is below the sleeve, and that the distance between each packing (8) and (10) and each sleeve end is equal.
     (b) Install the clamp on the coupling assembly (9) to the sleeve and engage the latches.
   (14) TORQUE the screws (1) to between 0.85 and 0.66 m.daN (75.22 and 58.41 lbf.in )
T.
   (15) Prepare for electrical bonding of the screw (3), the washer (4) and the bonding strap (5) (
Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
   (16) Install the bonding strap (5) with the screw (3) and the washer (4).
   (17) TORQUE the screw (3) to between 0.84 and 0.65 m.daN (74.34 and 57.52 lbf.in ) T.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
