Removal of the Filter Assembly
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:

WARNING:
YOU MUST PUT ON AND ATTACH A SAFETY HARNESS BEFORE YOU START WORK:

C. Get Access
(1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove the quick-release access panel (access panel) 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
(3) If the thermal insulation is installed on the filter assembly, remove it.
Subtask 47-10-41-010-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove the quick-release access panel (access panel) 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
(3) If the thermal insulation is installed on the filter assembly, remove it.
C. Get Access
(1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove the quick-release access panel (access panel) 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
4. Procedure(1) Put an access platform ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at zones 191 and 192.
(2) Remove the quick-release access panel (access panel) 191BB (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).

A. Removal of the Filter Assembly
(b) Move the sleeve across the packing (8) to the inlet (7) of the filter assembly (filter) (6).
(b) Move the sleeve across the packing (13) to the outlet (14) of the filter (6).
(3) Remove the screw (3), the washer (4) and the bonding strap (5).
(4) Support the filter (6) and remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).
(5) Carefully release and remove the filter (6).
(6) Remove and discard the packing (8), (10), (11) and (13).
(7) For the coupling assembly (9), remove and retain the sleeve, keep it with the clamp.
(8) For the coupling assembly (12), remove and retain the sleeve, keep it with the clamp.
(9) Put CAP - BLANKING on the inlet fitting (7), the outlet fitting (14), the isolation valve outlet and the IGGS pallet inlet.
WARNING:
DO NOT GO INTO THE WORK AREA UNTIL A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES AFTER YOU REMOVE THE ACCESS PANEL. LET AIR FLOW THROUGH THE WORK AREA. AIR FROM THIS SYSTEM HAS A LOW OXYGEN CONTENT AND CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DEATH.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU TOUCH THIS ASSEMBLY. IT HAS PRECISION- TOLERANCE COMPONENTS WITH VERY POLISHED SURFACES. IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, IT IS VERY EASY TO CAUSE DAMAGE TO THESE COMPONENTS (INTERNAL CONTAMINATION, EXTERNAL IMPACT DAMAGE).
CAUTION:
REMOVE OR INSTALL PACKING SEALS CAREFULLY. DAMAGE TO SEALS OR SEALING SURFACES CAN CAUSE LEAKAGE AND CORROSION.
(1) Release and remove the coupling assembly (9): NOTE: The clamp and the sleeve fit together to make one coupling assembly (9).
(a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp to remove and retain the clamp. (b) Move the sleeve across the packing (8) to the inlet (7) of the filter assembly (filter) (6).
NOTE: Do not remove the sleeve until you remove the filter (6).
(2) Release and remove the coupling assembly (12): NOTE: The clamp and the sleeve fit together to make one coupling assembly (12).
(a) Pull up the latch pawls of the clamp to remove and retain the clamp. (b) Move the sleeve across the packing (13) to the outlet (14) of the filter (6).
(3) Remove the screw (3), the washer (4) and the bonding strap (5).
(4) Support the filter (6) and remove the screws (1) and the washers (2).
(5) Carefully release and remove the filter (6).
(6) Remove and discard the packing (8), (10), (11) and (13).
(7) For the coupling assembly (9), remove and retain the sleeve, keep it with the clamp.
(8) For the coupling assembly (12), remove and retain the sleeve, keep it with the clamp.
(9) Put CAP - BLANKING on the inlet fitting (7), the outlet fitting (14), the isolation valve outlet and the IGGS pallet inlet.
