A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get access to the avionics compartment
   (1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824.
   (3) Make sure that access door 824 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure
Subtask 46-41-39-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Head-End Server-Unit (HESU) media-drive
F Head-End Server Unit Media-Drive ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the indicators on the HESU are off.
   (4) Installation of the media drive (6): [1620RF]
     (a) Make sure that the screw (5) points to the right.
     (b) Put the media drive (6) in the upper slot of the HESU (1).
     (c) Push the media drive (6) carefully until it is flush with the front plate.
     (d) Hand tighten the screw (5).
   (5) Installation of the media drive (3): [1320RF]
     (a) Make sure that the screw (4) points to the right.
     (b) Put the media drive (3) in the lower slot of the HESU (1).
     (c) Push the media drive (3) carefully until it is flush with the front plate.
     (d) Hand tighten the screw (4).
   (6) Close the flap (2) and hand tighten the screw (7).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Software Loading
   (1) Load the parameter after the HESU startup, use the maintenance laptop (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-806) or the USB flash drive (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-808).

D. Test
   (1) Do the system monitoring condition test (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-710-804).
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
