A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get access to the avionics compartment
(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824.
(3) Make sure that access door 824 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824.
(3) Make sure that access door 824 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
Subtask 46-41-39-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Head-End Server Unit (HESU) CF-Card
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the indicators on the HESU are off.
(4) Make sure that the label of the CF-card (3) points to the right.
(5) Put the CF-card (3) in its installation position into the HESU (1).
(6) Push the CF-card (3) until it is flush with the front plate.
(7) Close the flap (2) and hand tighten the screw (4).
Subtask 46-41-39-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the indicators on the HESU are off.
(4) Make sure that the label of the CF-card (3) points to the right.
(5) Put the CF-card (3) in its installation position into the HESU (1).
(6) Push the CF-card (3) until it is flush with the front plate.
(7) Close the flap (2) and hand tighten the screw (4).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Software Loading
(1) If the CF-card is removed from an unserviceable HESU and installed into a new HESU, do the following actions:
(a) Energize the HESU.
(b) ALNA software and parameter load will be installed automatically from the CF-card.
(3) If the CF-card is installed into a new HESU, do the following actions:
(a) Energize the HESU.
(b) ALNA software will be installed automatically from the CF-card (initial load).
5. Close-up(1) If the CF-card is removed from an unserviceable HESU and installed into a new HESU, do the following actions:
(a) Energize the HESU.
(b) ALNA software and parameter load will be installed automatically from the CF-card.
NOTE: The installation takes approximately 30 minutes.
(2) If the CF-card is installed into an already data loaded and serviceable HESU, replicate repository from HESU on the CF-card (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-812). (3) If the CF-card is installed into a new HESU, do the following actions:
(a) Energize the HESU.
(b) ALNA software will be installed automatically from the CF-card (initial load).
NOTE: The installation takes approximately 12 minutes.
(c) Load the parameter after the HESU startup, use the maintenance laptop (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-806) or the USB flash drive (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-808). Subtask 46-41-39-410-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 46-41-39-862-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
