C. Get access to the avionics compartment
(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824.
(3) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 824.
(3) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

A. Removal of the Head-End Server-Unit (HESU) media-drive
(2) Loosen the screw (7) and open the flap (2).
(3) Removal of the media drive (6): [1620RF]
(a) Loosen the screw (5) and remove the media drive (6) from the HESU (1).
(b) Put the media drive (6) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
(4) Removal of the media drive (3): [1320RF]
(a) Loosen the screw (4) and remove the media drive (3) from the HESU (1).
(b) Put the media drive (3) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
CAUTION:
OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD) DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS:
(1) Make sure that the indicators on the HESU are off. - STAY ON A CONDUCTIVE SURFACE THAT IS ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED.
- USE A CONDUCTIVE WRIST-STRAP THAT IS ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED. (CONNECTED TO A BONDING-POINT NEAR THE WORK AREA).
- BEFORE YOU USE THE TOOLS, MOMENTARILY HOLD THEM AGAINST AN ELECTRICAL GROUND TO RELEASE STATIC ELECTRICITY.
(2) Loosen the screw (7) and open the flap (2).
(3) Removal of the media drive (6): [1620RF]
(a) Loosen the screw (5) and remove the media drive (6) from the HESU (1).
(b) Put the media drive (6) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
(4) Removal of the media drive (3): [1320RF]
(a) Loosen the screw (4) and remove the media drive (3) from the HESU (1).
(b) Put the media drive (3) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
