C. Get access to the avionics compartment
(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at access door 824.
(3) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
4. Procedure(1) For the location of this component, refer to Para. Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at access door 824.
(3) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
Subtask 46-41-39-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Head-End Server Unit (HESU) CF-Card
(2) Loosen the screw (4) and open the flap (2).
(3) Use a SCREWDRIVER - SMALL to push the button (5) and make the CF-card (3) release from the HESU (1).
(4) Carefully pull the CF-card (3) and remove it from the HESU (1).
(5) Put the CF-card (3) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
CAUTION:
OBEY THESE PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD) DAMAGE TO THE COMPONENTS:
(1) Make sure that the indicators on the HESU are off. - STAY ON A CONDUCTIVE SURFACE THAT IS ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED.
- USE A CONDUCTIVE WRIST-STRAP THAT IS ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED. (CONNECTED TO A BONDING-POINT NEAR THE WORK AREA).
- BEFORE YOU USE THE TOOLS, MOMENTARILY HOLD THEM AGAINST AN ELECTRICAL GROUND TO RELEASE STATIC ELECTRICITY.
(2) Loosen the screw (4) and open the flap (2).
(3) Use a SCREWDRIVER - SMALL to push the button (5) and make the CF-card (3) release from the HESU (1).
(4) Carefully pull the CF-card (3) and remove it from the HESU (1).
(5) Put the CF-card (3) into a BAG - ANTISTATIC.
