A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Access the ALNA Graphical User Interface - Maintenance Access - via Multi-Purpose Flight-Attendant Panel (MP-FAP) (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-811).

C. Preparation for the Test
   (1) Get access to the Head End Server Unit (HESU) as follows:
     (a) For the location of this component, refer to paragraph Component Location
(Ref. AMM D/O 46-41-00-00).
     (b) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at access door 824.
     (c) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
   (2) Make sure that the SIM card is installed in HESU as follows:
     (a) Loosen the applicable screw and open the HESU flap.
     (b) Make sure that the SIM card is installed in the SIM card slot.
     (c) Close the HESU flap and hand tighten the applicable screw.
4. Procedure

A. Operational Test of the Cellular Gatelink
NOTE: You can do this procedure at the MP-FAP or on the LAPTOP - FOR GSM ALNA MAINTENANCE. The procedures at the MP-FAP and on the maintenance laptop are the same.
NOTE: The table that follows gives the procedure for the MP-FAP.

1.Touch the "SYSTEM MONITORING" icon.
  • The "SYSTEM MONITORING" page comes into view.
2.Select the "OVERVIEW" tab.

  • Under the "Connected Systems", make sure that the "Cellular Gatelink" operational state is "Available".

3.Touch the "SYSTEM TEST" icon.
  • The "SYSTEM TEST" page comes into view.
4.Select the "CALIBRATION & FUNCTION TEST" tab.
  • The "CALIBRATION & FUNCTION TEST" tab shows.
  • Touch the "CELLULAR GATELINK TEST" icon.
  • The "CELLULAR GATELINK TEST" icon is marked in blue.
  • Touch the "START TEST" icon.
  • The "CELLULAR GATELINK TEST" page shows.
  • Touch the "ARROW DOWN" icon to start the test.
  • The drop-down menu page shows.
  • Touch the "CELLULAR GATELINK" icon.
  • The "CELLULAR GATELINK TEST" page shows.
  • Touch the "START" icon.
  • The message "TEST IS COMPLETED" shows.
  • Touch the "SHOW RESULTS" icon.
  • A pop-up window with "TEST RESULTS" shows.
  • Make sure that the test result in column "Code" is passed.

5.Touch the "MISCELLANEOUS" icon.
  • The "MISCELLANEOUS" page comes into view.
6.Select the "CELLULAR GATELINK" tab.
  • The "CELLULAR GATELINK" tab comes into view.
  • Make sure that the "Connection Status" shows "Established" with the green icon.
  • Make sure that the "Signal Level" value shows a value between 31 and 95 arbitrary strength units for LTE signal standard and between 10 and 31 arbitrary strength units for the UMTS signal standard.
  • Make sure that for the "Modem Status" value column shows "Ok" with the green icon.
  • Make sure that the "SIM Card Status" value column shows "Enabled".

7.Touch the "CLOSE" icon.
  • The "CALIBRATION & FUNCTION TEST" tab shows.
5. Close-up
Subtask 46-41-00-860-090-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Touch the "LOGOFF" icon.
NOTE: It is not necessary to log off, if you continue with a different test procedure.
   (4) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
