A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Access the ALNA Graphical User Interface - Maintenance Access - via Multi-Purpose Flight-Attendant Panel (MP-FAP) (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-610-811).

4. Procedure

A. ACT Loading Procedure
NOTE: You can do this procedure at the MP-FAP or on the LAPTOP - FOR GSM ALNA MAINTENANCE. The procedures at the MP-FAP and on the maintenance laptop are the same.
NOTE: The table that follows gives the procedure for the MP-FAP.

In the cabin, at the MP-FAP:
In the cabin, on the MP-FAP display:
1.Put the USB FLASH DRIVE into the USB port of the MP-FAP and wait for 1 minute.
NOTE: The USB FLASH DRIVE must contain a folder with "act_" prefix. This folder must contain the data file and the .xml format file.

2.Touch the "DATA LOADING" icon.
  • An hourglass symbol shows until the data shows.
  • The "SW LOADING" page comes into view.
3.Select the "ACT LOADING" tab.
A pop-up window to enter the password shows.
4.Enter the password and touch the "OK" icon.
NOTE: The default password is "1234".
The "ACT LOADING" page shows.
5.Touch the arrow down icon adjacent to the "Settings to Install" field.
A pop-up window "Setting to Install from" shows.
6.Select one of the available packages.
The "ACT LOADING" page shows with all packages available for installation in the selected package.
7.Touch on the package(s) you will install.
NOTE: "ACT LOADING" page shows all ADI and/or CGL, and/or WLM (if equipped) packages available for installation.
NOTE: By default all new package(s) is (are) selected (highlighted) for installation.
Selected package(s) is (are) highlighted.
8.Make sure that the columns "Version to Install", "State" and "Current Version" are correct for the selected package(s).

9.Touch the "INSTALL" icon.
A pop-up window to confirm the content load shows.
10.Touch the "OK" icon to start the installation.
  • A pop-up windows with the installation progress bar comes into view.
  • The estimated installation time shows at the bottom of the screen.
  • A pop-up window with the message "ALL PACKAGES INSTALLED" comes into view.
NOTE: It is possible that the estimated time for content loading does not match with the necessary time because of different used technologies for example USB version, CD speed, MP-FAP connection or other.
11.Touch the "OK" icon.
The "ACT LOADING" page shows.
12.Make sure that the columns "Version to Install" and "Current Version" shows the same value and that the state shows as "INSTALLED" with green icon for the installed package.

13.Repeat steps 5 thru 12 for all packages available for installation in the "Setting to Install from" pop-up window.

14.Remove the USB FLASH DRIVE from the MP-FAP.

5. Close-up
Subtask 46-41-00-860-104-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Touch the "LOGOFF" icon.
NOTE: It is not necessary to log off, if you continue with a different test procedure.
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
