A. System configuration

The installation sequence is given below. Obey to the installation sequence each time you do the parameter loading procedure.

These parameters are applicable:

  • FIN 3001RFSW8 SOFTWARE-ALNA, PARAMETER

The procedure that follows has these steps:

  • Uploading procedure of the parameter to the equipment
  • Do a check of the equipment/parameter configuration after the upload procedure.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Connect the maintenance laptop (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-860-801).

A. Aircraft configuration
NOTE: The aircraft must be on the ground for the software loading.
   (1) Make sure that the Avionics Data shows as "Available" (Ref. AMM TASK 46-41-00-720-817).
   (2) If the Avionics Data shows as "Not Available" do the related troubleshooting procedure TSM 46-41-00-810-813.

B. Parameter Loading with the USB Flash Drive
NOTE: This procedure will be done at the LAPTOP - FOR GSM ALNA MAINTENANCE.
NOTE: You must copy the dedicated load onto the USB Stick in the folder "PACKAGES". e.g. U:/packages/3001RFSW8.
ACTION
RESULT
In the cabin, at the Maintenance Laptop:
On the Maintenance Laptop:
1.Put the USB FLASH DRIVE, MIN. 2GB CAPACITY with the loads into the USB-port of the Maintenance Laptop.

2.Click on the "DATA LOADING" icon.
  • The "DATA LOADING" page shows.
  • An hourglass symbol shows until the data comes into view.
3.Click on the "ARROW-DOWN" icon adjacent to the icon "CONFIGURATION TO INSTALL".
  • The drop-down menu shows.
4.Click on the "INSERTED MEDIA" icon.
  • The "INSERTED MEDIA" selection shows in a different color.
5.Click on the "SW INSTALL" icon.
  • A pop-up window to confirm the parameter load shows.
6.Click on the "OK" icon to start the installation.
  • The pop-up window shows the progress of the installation.
  • The estimated time shows at the bottom of the screen.
  • After the end of the installation, the message "SOFTWARE INSTALLATION WAS SUCCESSFUL" shows.

  • If a pop-up window shows a message to reboot the Head-End Server Unit (HESU), then do it.
7.Click on the "OK" icon.

8.Click on the "SYSTEM MON." icon.
  • The maintenance "SYSTEM MONITORING" page shows.
9.Click on the "RESET" icon in the line HESU and then click on the "OK" to start the reset.
  • The HESU starts again.
10.Wait for approximately 10 minutes.
  • The "SERVICE OVERVIEW" page shows.
11.Click on the "LOGIN" icon.
  • A pop-up window to enter the password shows.
12.Enter the correct password and press the "OK" icon.
  • The "SERVICE OVERVIEW" page with maintenance access shows.
13.Click on the "SYSTEM IDENT." icon.
  • The "SYSTEM IDENTIFICATION" page shows.
  • An hourglass symbol shows until the data comes into view.
  • The list shows the installed FINs, the part numbers and the serial numbers.
14.Make sure that all part numbers are correct.

15.Remove the USB Flash Drive from the USB-port of the maintenance laptop.

5. Close-up
Subtask 46-41-00-862-090-D ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
   (2) Click on the "LOGOFF" icon.
NOTE: It is not necessary to log off, if you continue with a different test procedure.
   (3) Disconnect and shut down the maintenance laptop.
   (4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
