A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at access door 824.
   (3) Make sure that access door 824 is open.
   (4) On the FOMAX front face, make sure that the protection door (2) is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 46-26-32-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Airline SIM Card into the FOMAX
CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE METAL CONTACT OF THE SIM CARD. IF YOU DO, DAMAGE TO THE SIM CARD CAN OCCUR.
   (1) On electronics rack 80VU, on shelf 81VU, get access to the FOMAX.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Remove the new SIM CARD from its packaging.
   (5) Carefully push the Airline SIM card (4) into the Airline SIM card slot 1, 2, 3 or 4 (3).
   (6) Close the protection door (2) and tighten the screw (1).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Check of the SIM Card Detection
   (1) When all the software components of the FOMAX (64TASW1, 64TASW2, 64TASW3 and 64TASW4) are already uploaded:
     (a) Do the reset of the FOMAX with the Local Maintenance Function (LMF) (Ref. AMM TASK 46-26-32-860-805).
     (b) On the LMF main page, select the "AL Cell Gatelink" tab (the "AL Cellular Gatelink" main page comes into view).
     (c) On the "AL Cellular Gatelink" main page, select the "SIM Cards" tab (the "SIM Cards" page comes into view).
     (d) On the "SIM Cards" page, make sure that the status for one SIM card slot is "Detected".
     (e) Make sure that the color of the LED symbol adjacent to the "AL Cell Gatelink" button is green.
5. Close-up

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close access door 824.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
