B. Installation of the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER in the cockpit on center pedestal
   (1) On the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER, make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.
   (2) On the center pedestal, on DATA LOADING panel 117VU:
  • Connect the cable to the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER and to the DATA LOADER connector on the front face of the DLSU (103TD).

   (1) Start the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER (refer to the PDL user guide).

A. Check of the FOMAX Configuration with the PDL
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the center pedestal, on the Data Loading Selector Unit (DLSU):
  • Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
On the display of the DLSU, the indication that follows comes into view:
  • DB/N:XXXXXXXXXX DLSU.
    Default value: '----------'.
2.On the center pedestal, on the DLSU:
  • Push the NEXT key.
The DLSU does selfs-tests.
3.Make sure that no error message comes into view.
On the display of the DSLU, the indication that follows comes into view:
  • STANDBY
    PUSH PREV/NEXT
4.On the center pedestal, on the DLSU:
  • Push the PREV or NEXT key until you get the FOMAX indication and push the SEL key.

On the PDL:
5.Do the initialization procedure.
On the PDL:
  • The FINs and the P/Ns of the FOMAX hardware and FOMAX software come into view.

B. Stop of the PDL
   (1) Stop the ALT45200001 PORTABLE DATA LOADER (refer to the PDL user guide).

C. Removal of the PDL
On the center pedestal, on Data Loading panel 117VU:
  • Disconnect the PDL cable from the PDL and from the front face of the DLSU (103TD)

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
