A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below access door 824 in zone 128.
   (2) Make sure that access door 824 is open.

4. Procedure
Subtask 46-21-34-420-050-A
A. Installation of the ATSU
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (2).
   (4) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
   (5) Install the ATSU (1) on its rack (3).
   (6) Push the ATSU (1) on its rack (3) to connect the electrical connectors (2).
   (7) Engage the nuts (4) on the lugs (5) and tighten them.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

3.On the MCDU scratchpad:
  • Enter the flight number.
  • Push the line key adjacent to the FLT NBR indication.
NOTE: The flight number is the ICAO airline code followed by 0000.
On the INIT page, the flight number is shown.

E. Do the BITE test of the ATIMS (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-00-740-001).

F. Do the VHF3 link test of the ATSU (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-00-710-002) to do a check of the correct operation of the datalink communication.

   (2) Close access door 824.
