C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU, lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) On the center pedestal, on the MCDU1, adjust the brightness of the MCDU screen.
(3) On the overhead panel 56VU, push the GND HF DATA LINK pushbutton switch and make sure that the OVRD legend comes on.

4. Procedure

A. HF Link Test of the ATSU

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the RMP1 (2, 3)): Push the HF1 pushbutton switch.	On the RMP1 (2, 3): make sure that the ACARS or DATA indication is shown in the active window display.
2.On the MCDU1: push the MCDU MENU mode key.	On the MCDU1: the MCDU MENU page comes into view.
3.On the MCDU MENU page: push the line key adjacent to the ATSU indication. MCDU Access to COMM MENU Page ON A/C NOT FOR ALL MCDU Access to COMM MENU Page ON A/C NOT FOR ALL	On the MCDU1: the ATSU DATALINK page comes into view.
4.On the ATSU DATALINK page: push the line key adjacent to the DATALINK STATUS indication.	On the MCDU1: the DATALINK STATUS page comes into view. after some minutes, the log-on display comes into view: the OP/COMM/DATA or DLK AVAIL indication is shown adjacent to the HF indication. 5.On the COMM STATUS page: push the line key adjacent to the RETURN TO COMM MENU indication.	On the MCDU1: the COMM MENU page comes into view.
6.On the COMM MENU page: push the line key adjacent to the MAINTENANCE indication. VHF3 LINK TEST page ON A/C NOT FOR ALL VHF3 LINK TEST page ON A/C NOT FOR ALL	On the MCDU1: the MAINTENANCE page comes into view.
7.On the MAINTENANCE page: push the line key adjacent to the TEST indication.	On the MCDU1: the TEST page comes into view.
8.On the TEST page: push the line key adjacent to the REQUEST/HF LINK indication.	On the TEST page: the REQUEST indication goes out of view. the IN PROGRESS indication comes into view. at the end of the test, the OK indication comes into view.
9.On the MCDU1: push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the ATSU DATALINK page comes into view.
10.On the MCDU1: push the MCDU MENU key.	On the MCDU1: the MCDU MENU page comes into view.

5. Close-up
Subtask 46-21-00-860-091-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) On the MCDU1, fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).
(2) On the overhead panel 56VU, release the GND HF DATA LINK pushbutton switch and make sure that the OVRD legend goes off.
(3) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
