C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Do the ADIRS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-002).
   (2) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (3) On CAPT LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 301VU and F/O LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 500VU, turn the LOUD SPEAKER potentiometer clockwise to the middle position.
   (4) At the CAPT (F/O, Third Occupant) station, connect the MICROPHONE 150 OHMS - HAND to the jack panel.
4. Procedure
NOTE: You can do the test related to the VHF3 VOICE DIRECTORY page (if applicable), only if the AOC application hosted in the ATSU gives the list of frequencies.

A. Operational Test of the ATSU Failure Warning
ACTION

1.On RMP1 (2, 3):
  • Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
  • Push the VHF3 pushbutton switch.
  • Push the transfer pushbutton switch (double arrow) located between the two windows to show the ACARS or DATA indication in the ACTIVE window.

2.On MCDU1 (2, 3):
  • Push the MCDU MENU mode key.
On MCDU1 (2, 3):
  • The MCDU MENU page comes into view.

On the MCDU MENU page:
  • The ATSU indication is shown.
3.Open circuit breakers 3TX1 and 5TX1.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • The COM ACARS FAULT or DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning message comes into view in the bottom left section.

On the MCDU MENU page:
  • The ATSU indication goes out of view.

On RMP1 (2, 3):
  • Dashes are shown in the ACTIVE window.
4.Close circuit breakers 3TX1 and 5TX1.
On the upper ECAM DU:
  • The COM ACARS FAULT or DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning message goes out of view after approximately one minute.

On RMP1 (2, 3):
  • The dashes go out of view in the ACTIVE window.
  • The ACARS or DATA indication comes into view in the ACTIVE window.

On the MCDU MENU page:
  • The ATSU prompt comes into view after approximately one minute.
NOTE: The ATSU controls the VHF3 frequency at the end of the ATSU power up.

NOTE: If you set the data service provider manually, the SCAN indication becomes MANUAL after the aircraft is connected to the selected data service-provider.
If the data service provider is selected by the ATSU automatically, the SCAN indication comes into view. The SCAN indication becomes AUTO when the aircraft is connected to the selected data service-provider.
10.On MCDU1 (2, 3):
  • Push the line key adjacent to the RETURN indication until the MCDU MENU page comes into view.

A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) On the MCDUs, fully decrease the brightness of the MCDU screen (display off).
   (2) On the RMPs, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.
   (3) At each crew station, disconnect the MICROPHONE 150 OHMS - HAND from the jack panel.
   (4) On CAPT LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 301VU and F/O LIGHTING/LOUD SPEAKER control panel 500VU, turn the LOUD SPEAKER potentiometer counterclockwise to the OFF position.
   (5) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
   (6) Do the ADIRS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
