DURING THE UPLOADING OF THE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS TO THE ATSU (FIN'S 20TXSW1, 21TXSW1, 30TXSW1, 23TXSW1, 25TXSW1, 35TXSW1, 36TXSW1, 39TXSW1, 37TXSW1, 22TXSW1, 24TXSW1, 31TXSW1, 42TXSW1), MAKE SURE THAT:
- MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DO NOT CHANGE THE SOURCE OF THE AIRCRAFT POWER SUPPLY (GROUND POWER UNIT, APU, ETC.)

C. Check of the References of the Software Components Pre-Loaded in the ATSU on the MCDU
(a) If the access to the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is not possible, or if no software component is uploaded to the ATSU:
(2) Print the LRU IDENTIFICATION pages.
(3) If you have the media for software component(s) 22TX and/or 24TX, do a check of the installed AOC software components:
(a) For the Honeywell AOC software component, do the procedure given in the table that follows:
(b) For the Rockwell AOC software component, do the procedure given in the table that follows:
(4) Print the LRU IDENTIFICATION pages.
(5) If all the references given on the media are the same as the references shown on the MCDU, go to Para. 5. Close Up.
(6) If a minimum of one reference given on the media is different from the references shown on the MCDU, go to Para 4.A Preparation of the ATSU Software Components Uploading.
4. ProcedureNOTE: This software check compares the part number (PN) shown on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page and the AOC MENU page of the MCDU with the PN written on the software media. The PN shown on the Portable Data Loader (PDL) and the PN written on the software media or on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page can be different.
(1) Do the procedure to get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/INFO SYS page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-013): (a) If the access to the LRU IDENTIFICATION page is not possible, or if no software component is uploaded to the ATSU:
- Upload the ATSU software components given in Para 4.
- Do a check of the references of the software components pre-loaded in the ATSU, as follows:

YOU MUST DO A CHECK OF THE INTEGRITY OF THE MEDIA USED FOR THE SOFTWARE UPLOADING. MAKE SURE THAT YOU CORRECTLY COPIED THE DIRECTORY WITH ALL THE HIDDEN FILES AND FOLDERS. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS PRECAUTION, THERE IS A RISK OF FAILURE OF THE SOFTWARE UPLOADING.

(4) When the uploading is completed, do the following check:

Subtask 46-21-00-970-092-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The uploading of software component 20TX will erase all previously installed software components which will need to be loaded again.
(1) Do the steps that follow only when you must upload software components (20TX, 21TX and 30TX). If it is not necessary to upload software components 20TX, 21TX and 30TX, go directly to next para. D. If Applicable, Uploading of the ATSU AOC Application Software Components 22TX and 24TX.
(2) If software components 22TX and 24TX were previously uploaded, do these steps in the sequence given. If they were not, go to step (3).
(a) Make sure that you have access to the media which contain the software components listed on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page.
(b) Upload software components 20TX, 21TX, 30TX (refer to step Uploading of the ATSU software components 20TX, 21TX, 30TX).
If necessary, upload 25TX, 35TX, 36TX, 37TX, 39TX, and/or 23TX as per subtask Uploading of the ATSU ATC APPLICATION.
Upload the ATSU AOC Software in this sequence: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804)

(4) If it is not necessary to upload another software component, go to step End of the ATSU Software Components Uploading.
Subtask 46-21-00-970-094-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: If an uploading is started, the DATALINK ATSU FAULT comes into view on the upper ECAM DU.
(1) Do the steps below to upload the ATSU AOC application software components 22TX, 24TX. If it is not necessary to upload the ATSU AOC Applications, go directly to next para. (2) If software components 22TX and 24TX were previously uploaded, do these steps in the sequence given. If they were not, go to step (3).
(a) Make sure that you have access to the media which contain the software components listed on the LRU IDENTIFICATION page.
(b) Upload software components 20TX, 21TX, 30TX (refer to step Uploading of the ATSU software components 20TX, 21TX, 30TX).
NOTE: The new upload of software components 20TX will erase previously installed software components 22TX and 24TX. It will also erase all other installed software components which will need to be loaded again.
(c) Upload the other previously installed software components: If necessary, upload 25TX, 35TX, 36TX, 37TX, 39TX, and/or 23TX as per subtask Uploading of the ATSU ATC APPLICATION.
Upload the ATSU AOC Software in this sequence: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804)
1 ATSU AOC software component (22TX).
2 ATSU AOC DATABASE software component (24TX).
(d) If necessary, upload the ATSU ISM APPLICATION SOFTWARE (31TX) (refer to Uploading of the S/W ATSU ISM APPLICATION SOFTWARE 31TX).
(e) If necessary, upload the ATSU BRAKING ACTION COMPUTATION (42TX) (refer to Uploading of the S/W ATSU BRAKING ACTION COMPUTATION software 42TX).
(3) If software components 22TX and 24TX were not previously installed, upload the ATSU AOC Software in this sequence: (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804)
(a) ATSU AOC software component (22TX).
(b) ATSU AOC DATABASE software component (24TX).
(4) If it is not necessary to upload another software component, go to step End of the ATSU Software Components Uploading.
E. Uploading of S/W ATSU ISM APPLICATION software component 31TX.
(2) Upload ATSU ISM APPLICATION software component (31TX) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).
(3) If it is not necessary to upload another ATSU software component, go to the End of the ATSU Software Components Uploading para.
Subtask 46-21-00-860-133-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: If an uploading is started, the "DATALINK ATSU FAULT" message comes into view on the upper ECAM DU.
(1) Do the below steps to upload ATSU software component 31TX. If it is not necessary to upload software component 31TX, go directly to the next para. (2) Upload ATSU ISM APPLICATION software component (31TX) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-38-00-610-804).
(3) If it is not necessary to upload another ATSU software component, go to the End of the ATSU Software Components Uploading para.
F. End of the ATSU Software Components Uploading.
(1) On the overhead panel, on the DLS, push the SEL CTL key until the ATSU NOT SELECTED indication comes into view.
(2) On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading selector section of panel 50VU, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF. On the upper ECAM DU, the DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning goes out of view after approximately one minute.
(4) If the DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning stays in view after one minute:
Subtask 46-21-00-280-147-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the overhead panel, on the DLS, push the SEL CTL key until the ATSU NOT SELECTED indication comes into view.
(2) On the overhead panel, on the Data Loading selector section of panel 50VU, set the ON/OFF switch to OFF. On the upper ECAM DU, the DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning goes out of view after approximately one minute.
NOTE: When the ON/OFF switch on the DLS is set to OFF, the ATSU does a power-on self-test. The DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning goes out of view at the end of this test.
(3) Make sure that the ATSU prompt indication comes into view on the MCDU MENU page. (4) If the DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning stays in view after one minute:
- Open circuit breakers 3TX1 and 5TX1.
- Wait for 10 seconds.
- Close circuit breakers 3TX1 and 5TX1.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Make sure that the DATALINK ATSU FAULT warning goes out of view.
- Make sure that on the MCDU MENU page, the ATSU prompt comes into view.
G. Check of the Reference(s) of the Software Components Uploaded to the ATSU
(1) Do the procedure to get access to the SYSTEM REPORT/TEST/INFO SYS page (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-013).
(2) Do a check of the references of the software components in the ATSU, as follows:

(1) If you uploaded a S/W ATSU A/C INTERFACE software component (20TX) perform (Ref. AMM TASK 46-21-00-860-001) to initialize the ATSU router.
