Subtask 46-21-00-970-074-H ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Uploading of the ATSU A/C INTERFACE Software Component (20TX) and/or the ATSU CONFIGURATION Software Component (21TX) and/or the ATSU ROUTER PARAMETER Software Component (30TX) (with PDL through ARINC 615A)
NOTE: If the PDL has the digital signature check, the PDL can send two messages:
  • One if the PDL detects that the software is not signed (refer to PDL user guide), you can ignore this message. It has no effect on the aircraft software uploading.
  • One if the PDL detects an incorrect or corrupted signature (refer to PDL user guide), then the software uploading will not be possible and it will be necessary to use a different software.
For data security reasons, Airbus recommends that the user does a report of the fault to his aircraft-security focal point.
   (1) Print the COMM CONFIG and VHF3 SCAN SELECT pages before you upload the ATSU software (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-003) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-013).
NOTE: The uploading sequence is as follows:
  • First, the ATSU A/C INTERFACE software component (20TX)
  • Then, the ATSU CONFIGURATION software component (21TX) and the ATSU ROUTER PARAMETERS software component (30TX).
You can upload these last two software components independently if the ATSU A/C INTERFACE software is uploaded.
NOTE: After the uploading procedures, it is necessary to do a check of the reference of the software loaded in the ATSU, on the MCDU.
NOTE: When you upload software component 30TX, if the P/Ns of software components 20TX and 30TX are not compatible, it is necessary to upload ATSU software components 20TX and 21TX again.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Upload the ATSU software (Refer to the PDL user guide).
NOTE: If more than one disk is necessary to do the uploading and if a transfer fault occurs, it is necessary to do the uploading from the start (disk 1) again.
Subtask 46-21-00-970-076-O ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: DURING THE UPLOADING OF THE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS TO THE ATSU (FIN'S 20TXSW1, 21TXSW1, 30TXSW1, 23TXSW1, 25TXSW1, 35TXSW1, 36TXSW1, 39TXSW1, 37TXSW1, 22TXSW1, 24TXSW1, 31TXSW1, 42TXSW1), MAKE SURE THAT:
  • MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DO NOT CHANGE THE SOURCE OF THE AIRCRAFT POWER SUPPLY (GROUND POWER UNIT, APU, ETC.)
  • MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DO NOT TOUCH OR MOVE THE DATA LOADER SELECTOR(S)/DLRB AND THE MDDU/PDL.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE TWO PRECAUTIONS, THERE CAN BE ERASURE OF ALL THE SOFTWARE COMPONENTS LOADED INTO THE ATSU. IT CAN THEN BE NECESSARY TO START THE UPLOADING PROCEDURE OF ALL THE ATSU SOFTWARE COMPONENTS AGAIN.
B. Uploading of the ATSU AOC Applications (with PDL through ARINC 615A)
NOTE: If the PDL has the digital signature check, the PDL can send two messages:
  • One if the PDL detects that the software is not signed (refer to PDL user guide), you can ignore this message. It has no effect on the aircraft software uploading.
  • One if the PDL detects an incorrect or corrupted signature (refer to PDL user guide), then the software uploading will not be possible and it will be necessary to use a different software.

NOTE: The uploading sequence is as follows:
  • First, the AOC software component (22TX)
  • Then, the AOC DATABASE software component (24TX).
NOTE: After the uploading procedures, it is necessary to do a check of the reference of the software loaded in the ATSU, on the MCDU.
NOTE: If software components 22TX and 24TX were uploaded, the uploading sequence is as follows:
  • First, the ATSU A/C INTERFACE software component (20TX)
  • Then, all the next ATSU software components.
ACTION
RESULT
1.Upload the ATSU AOC applications (Refer to the portable data-loader user-guide).
NOTE: If more than one disk is necessary to do the uploading and if a transfer fault occurs, it is necessary to do the uploading from the start (disk 1) again.
NOTE: After the AOC database uploading, one or more part numbers XX2T0DXXXXXXXXX with the ATSU A/C INTERFACE DB/N or SA identification can be shown on the LRU IDENT page.
