A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(5) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door is open and safetied (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that access panels 131NW, 132PW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
Subtask 38-42-16-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
(4) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position.
(5) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door is open and safetied (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that access panels 131NW, 132PW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
Subtask 38-42-16-560-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL A. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Remove the blanking plug from the pressure switch (4).
(5) Install the new AIPC 38-42-04-11-170 NUT (2) or AIPC 38-42-84-10-310 NUT (2) on the pressure switch (4) and install a new AIPC 38-42-04-11-180 PIN (3) or AIPC 38-42-84-10-320 PIN (3) in the nut (2).
(6) Remove the blanking plug from the union (1).
Subtask 38-42-16-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Remove the blanking plug from the pressure switch (4).
(5) Install the new AIPC 38-42-04-11-170 NUT (2) or AIPC 38-42-84-10-310 NUT (2) on the pressure switch (4) and install a new AIPC 38-42-04-11-180 PIN (3) or AIPC 38-42-84-10-320 PIN (3) in the nut (2).
(6) Remove the blanking plug from the union (1).
B. Installation of the Pressure Switch 10MD
(1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Install the pressure switch (3) on the union (1).
(5) Tighten the union nut (2) of the pressure switch (3).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(9) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 38-42-16-860-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Install the pressure switch (3) on the union (1).
(5) Tighten the union nut (2) of the pressure switch (3).
(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the pressure switch (3). (9) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
C. Preparation for Test
(1) Remove the cap (6) from the test connection.
(2) Connect an inflation-deflation adaptor kit (50/psi) to the test connection.
(3) Fill the potable water tank with 50 l (13.2085 USgal) of water (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
Subtask 38-42-16-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the cap (6) from the test connection.
(2) Connect an inflation-deflation adaptor kit (50/psi) to the test connection.
(3) Fill the potable water tank with 50 l (13.2085 USgal) of water (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Removal of the Test Equipment
Subtask 38-42-16-410-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL NOTE: The pressure in the system is released when you remove the adaptor kit.
(1) Remove the inflation/deflation adaptor kit and install the cap (6) on the union (1). B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 161DW 162DW on the aft wall of the AFT cargo compartment.
(3) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 38-42-16-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the access panels 161DW 162DW on the aft wall of the AFT cargo compartment.
(3) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
