A. Energize the aircraft electrical circuit (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the AFT cargo compartment door.
(3) Set aft cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to the ON position.
(4) Remove partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-42-00-210-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Detailed Inspection of the Compressor Inlet Filter.
(1) Remove the retaining ring (2) using the PLIERS - RETAINING RING (T96-1 TYPE).
(2) Remove the inlet filter (1).
(3) Examine the inlet filter (1) for damage/blocked, if necessary replace the AIPC 38-42-51-01-020 INLET FILTER (1).
(4) Install the inlet filter (1).
(5) Examine the retaining ring (2) for damage, if necessary replace the AIPC 38-42-51-01-010 RETAINING RING (2).
(6) Install the retaining ring (2).

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set aft cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4) Close aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):
