A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the potable water system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-41-42-420-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Air Filter 4210MM

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

(1) Remove the blanking plugs.
(2) Install the new AIPC 38-41-04-12-080 O-RING (5) to the check valve 4205MM (6).
(3) Install the check valve 4205MM (6) in the air filter 4210MM (4).
(4) Put the air filter assembly 4210MM (4) in position.
(5) Install the bolts (8), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(6) Connect and tighten the connections (1) and (7).
(7) TORQUE the connections (1) and (7) to between 1.2 and 1.1 m.daN (106.19 and 97.35 lbf.in )

Subtask 38-41-42-420-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Air Filter 4210MM

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT UNTIL IT IS SUFFICIENTLY COOL TO PREVENT BURNS WHEN YOU DO THE MAINTENANCE TASK(S).

(1) Remove the blanking plugs.
(2) Select the applicable new O-ring (5):

(3) Install the O-ring (5) to the check valve 4205MM (6).
(4) Install the check valve 4205MM (6) in the air filter 4210MM (4).
(5) Put the air filter assembly 4210MM (4) in position.
(6) Install the bolts (8), the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(7) Connect and tighten the connections (1) and (7).
(8) TORQUE the connections (1) and (7) to between 1.2 and 1.1 m.daN (106.19 and 97.35 lbf.in )

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Do the leak check of the component (Ref. AMM TASK 38-41-00-790-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).

Subtask 38-41-42-410-051-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 131PW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-54-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the forward cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
