Installation of the Waste Drain-Line Valve
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the toilet system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-680-001).

A. Installation of the Waste Drain-Line Valve 3345MM
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Install the new AIPC 38-31-04-32-031 O-RING (3) or AIPC 38-31-84-40-040 O-RING (3) in the flange of the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1).
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) around the plain portion of the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1).
(5) Put the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1) in position.
(6) Install the screws (2).
Subtask 38-31-72-865-065-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Install the new AIPC 38-31-04-32-031 O-RING (3) or AIPC 38-31-84-40-040 O-RING (3) in the flange of the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1).
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(3) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (2). (4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) around the plain portion of the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1).
(5) Put the waste drain-line valve 3345MM (1) in position.
(6) Install the screws (2).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Fill the waste holding tank 3300MM with 13.5 l (3.5663 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) . Subtask 38-31-72-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Examine the drain valve and make sure that there are no leaks, leaks are not permitted.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
