Installation of the Water Separator

WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.

WARNING: ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:

ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.

WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (TOILET WASTE IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).

A. Installation of the Water Separator 3302MM
(1) Remove the blanking cap from the waste tank (4).
(2) Install the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-110 PACKING (3) in the waste tank (4).
(3) Install the basic separator (5) in the waste tank (4).
(4) Install the filter housing assembly (7).
(5) Install the V-clamp (6) and TORQUE to between 0.48 and 0.39 m.daN (42.48 and 34.51 lbf.in )

(6) Install the sleeve (2).
(7) Install the clamps (1) and tighten them.

A. Installation of the Water Separator 3302MM
(1) Remove the blanking cap from the waste tank (4).
(2) Install the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-110 PACKING (3) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-100 PACKING (3) in the waste tank (4).
(3) Install the basic separator assembly (7) in the waste tank (4).
(4) Install the filter housing assembly (6) to the basic separator assembly (7).
(5) Install the V-clamp (5) and TORQUE to between 0.48 and 0.39 m.daN (42.48 and 34.51 lbf.in )

(6) Install the sleeve (2).
(7) Install the clamps (1) and tighten them.

C. Leak Test
(1) Do the leak test of the vacuum toilet system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-790-002).
(2) Record the result of the test.
(3) Compare the result of the test before the removal and after the installation.

NOTE: The difference between the tests must not be more than 10% of the result made before the removal.

D. Operate the toilet and make sure that it flushes correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).

A. Close Access
(1) Install the tank insulation that surround the clamp of the water separator if removed during the removal procedure.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install access panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).

B. De-energize the ground service network
