Installation of the Liquid Level Sensor
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the toilet system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-680-001).

A. Installation of the liquid Level Sensor 41MG
(1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-080 O-RING (4) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-070 O-RING (4) in position.
(2) Put the liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in position.
(3) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(4) Install the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )

(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Connect the electrical connector 41MG-A (2).
Subtask 38-31-63-420-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-080 O-RING (4) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-070 O-RING (4) in position.
(2) Put the liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in position.
(3) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(4) Install the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )
. (6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Connect the electrical connector 41MG-A (2).
A. Installation of the liquid Level Sensor 41MG
(1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-080 O-RING (4) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-070 O-RING (4) in its installation position.
(2) Put the liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its installation position.
(3) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(4) Install the washers (5) and the screws (6).
(5) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )

(6) Remove the blanking cap and connect the electrical connector 41MG-A (2).
Subtask 38-31-63-865-066-A (1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-080 O-RING (4) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-070 O-RING (4) in its installation position.
(2) Put the liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its installation position.
(3) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(4) Install the washers (5) and the screws (6).
(5) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )
. (6) Remove the blanking cap and connect the electrical connector 41MG-A (2).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Do the functional test of the liquid level sensor 41MG and transmitter 40MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-720-002).

B. Close Access
(1) Install the insulation around the liquid level sensor.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close access panels 161DW 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
(5) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
Subtask 38-31-63-862-051-A (1) Install the insulation around the liquid level sensor.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
