Installation of the Liquid Level Sensor
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(4) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is ON.
(5) Make sure that partitions 161DW and 162DW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(6) Make sure that the toilet system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-680-001).
Subtask 38-31-63-865-062-A (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

(2) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).

A. Installation of Liquid Level Sensor 41MG
(1) Select the applicable new packings (4):
(2) Install the packing (4).
(3) Put liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its correct installation position.
(4) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(5) Install the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(6) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )

(7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
Subtask 38-31-63-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Select the applicable new packings (4):
(2) Install the packing (4).
(3) Put liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its correct installation position.
(4) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(5) Install the washers (5) and the nuts (6).
(6) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )
. (7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(8) Connect electrical connector 41MG-A (2). A. Installation of Liquid Level Sensor 41MG
(1) Select the applicable new packings (4):
(2) Install the packing (4).
(3) Put liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its correct installation position.
(4) Make sure that the location pin is at the top.
(5) Install the washers (5) and the screws (6).
(6) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.11 and 0.079 m.daN (9.73 and 6.99 lbf.in )

(7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.

(2) Install the packing (4).
(3) Put liquid level sensor 41MG (3) in its correct installation position.

(8) Connect electrical connector 41MG-A (2). B. Leak Test
(1) Do the leak test of the vacuum toilet system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-790-002).
(2) Record the result of the test.
(3) Compare the result of the test before the removal and after the installation.

D. Do the functional test of the liquid level sensor 41MG and transmitter 40MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-720-002).

B. Close Access
(1) If you removed the insulation, install it.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Install partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(4) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
Subtask 38-31-63-862-050-A (1) If you removed the insulation, install it.
