Installation of the Liquid Level Transmitter
WARNING:
DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING:
ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
- ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM, OR
- ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE SYSTEM.

(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

A. Installation of the Liquid Level Transmitter 40MG
(1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (2) in its installation position.
(2) Put the liquid level transmitter (3) in its installation position.
(3) Make sure that the transmitter fitting (8) is in line with the connection (4).
(4) Install the washers (7) and the nuts (6).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.09 m.daN (9.73 and 7.96 lbf.in )

(6) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(7) Connect the electrical connector (5).
(8) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(9) Connect the reference line (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-38-400-003).
Subtask 38-31-62-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (2) in its installation position.
(2) Put the liquid level transmitter (3) in its installation position.
(3) Make sure that the transmitter fitting (8) is in line with the connection (4).
(4) Install the washers (7) and the nuts (6).
(5) TORQUE the nuts (6) to between 0.11 and 0.09 m.daN (9.73 and 7.96 lbf.in )

(8) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(9) Connect the reference line (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-38-400-003).
A. Installation of the Liquid Level Transmitter 40MG
(1) Put the liquid level transmitter (3) with the new AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (2) or AIPC 38-31-84-44-140 PACKING (2) in position on the waste tank 3300MM (1).
(2) Make sure that the transmitter fitting (8) aligns with the reference line (4).
(3) Install the washers (7) and the screws (6).
(4) TORQUE the screws (6) to between 0.16 and 0.14 m.daN (14.16 and 12.39 lbf.in )

(5) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(6) Connect the electrical connector (5).
(7) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.

(5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(6) Close the AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(1) Install the insulation around the liquid level transmitter.
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(4) Install access panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
