A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
   (2) Make sure that bulk cargo-compartment door 827 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
   (3) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position at bulk cargo-compartment door 827.
   (4) Make sure that cargo-compartment light switch 18LU is set to ON.
   (5) Make sure that partitions 161DW and 162DW are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-31-36-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Motor Start Relay 36MG
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Put the motor start relay (14) and the brackets (3) in the correct position on the bracket (1). Make sure that the connector-plug and the contact-bolts L1 thru L3 and T1 thru T3 are in the same position as recorded in the removal.
   (4) Install the washers (2) and (4) and the screws (5).
   (5) Tighten the screws (5).
CAUTION: REFER TO THE MATCH MARKS MADE DURING THE REMOVAL WHEN YOU CONNECT THE ELECTRICAL WIRES. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF THE WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (6) Put the cables (6) in position on the contact-bolts L1 thru L3 and T1 thru T3.
   (7) Install the plates (7), the washers (8) and the nuts (9).
   (8) TORQUE the nuts (9) to between 0.30 and 0.25 m.daN (26.55 and 22.12 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Put the cover plate (10) in position.
   (10) Install the washers (11) and the screws (12).
   (11) Tighten the screws (12).
   (12) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (13) Connect the electrical connector (13).

C. Test of the Toilet System
   (1) Do the procedure to get access to the MCDU SYSTEM REPORT/TEST menu page (
Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-740-001).
     (a) Make sure that there are no system faults shown on the display.
   (2) Operate a toilet flush switch and make sure that the system operates correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).

   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
   (3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to OFF.
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Close bulk cargo-compartment door 827 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-008).
