C. Get Access
(1) Open bulk cargo-compartment door 827 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at bulk cargo-compartment door 827.
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to ON.
(4) Remove partitions 161DW and 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-31-36-020-050-A

A. Removal of the Motor Start Relay 36MG

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (13).
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Remove the screws (12) and washers (11).
(4) Remove the cover plate (10).

CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(5) Remove the nuts (9), the washers (8), the plate (7) and the cables (6) from the contact-bolts L1 thru L3 and T1 thru T3.
(6) Record the position of the motor start relay (14) before you remove it.
(7) Hold the motor start relay (14) and the brackets (3) and remove the screws (5) and the washers (2) and (4).
(8) Remove the motor start relay (14) and the brackets (3).
