Waste Service-Panel Door Limit-Switch (44MG)Subtask 38-31-13-860-050-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the waste service door.
(3) Make sure that waste service door 172AR is open.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the toilets.
(5) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(7) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is set to ON.
(8) Make sure that partition 162DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 38-31-13-865-058-A (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position below the waste service door.
(3) Make sure that waste service door 172AR is open.
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to operate the toilets.
(5) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position.
(7) Make sure that CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is set to ON.
(8) Make sure that partition 162DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of Waste Service-Panel Door-Limit-Switch 44MG
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) on the plain part of the switch (2).
(5) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4).
14QDB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.5 mm (0.020 inch) CRES Nickel Alloy -
(7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(9) Connect electrical connector 44MG-A (1).
(10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 38-31-13-865-059-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) on the plain part of the switch (2).
NOTE: As an alternative to Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Smoother - (Material No.06AAE1) , you can use Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) or Polysulfide Sealant_General Purpose Brushable - (Material No.06AAA1) .
(4) Put the switch (2) in its correct installation position. (5) Install the washer (3) and the nut (4).
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(6) Safety the nut (4) with a (7) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
(8) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(9) Connect electrical connector 44MG-A (1).
(10) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the door limit switch 44MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-008).
(2) If necessary adjust the door limit switch 44MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-820-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the door limit switch 44MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-008).
(2) If necessary adjust the door limit switch 44MG (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-820-001).
Subtask 38-31-13-410-050-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(5) Close waste service door 172AR:
(a) Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and the door aligns with the skin of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 38-31-13-862-050-A Subtask 38-31-13-942-050-A (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(5) Close waste service door 172AR:
(a) Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and the door aligns with the skin of the aircraft.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
C. Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
