B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the waste service panel.
(2) Open the door of the waste service panel 172AR.
4. Procedure(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position below the waste service panel.
(2) Open the door of the waste service panel 172AR.

A. Adjustment of the Contact Point of the Waste Service-Panel-Door Limit-Switch 44MG
(1) Loosen the nut (3) and remove the stud (2) together with the nut (3) and the washer (4).
(2) Clean the nut (3) the stud (2) and the washer (4).
(3) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the stud (2).
(5) Push the waste service panel-door (1) to the close position.
(a) If you do not hear a click from the limit switch (5):
1 Open the waste service panel-door (1).
2 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half of a turn.
3 Close the waste service panel-door (1).
4 Do the procedure again until you hear a click from the limit switch (5).
(b) If you hear a click from the limit switch (5):
1 Open the waste service panel-door (1).
2 Turn the stud (2) clockwise half of a turn.
3 Push the waste service panel-door (1) to the closed position.
4 Do the procedure again until you do not hear a click from the limit switch (5).
5 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half of a turn.
(6) Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise approximately 2 mm (0.079 in.) more.
(7) Hold the stud (2), and tighten the nut (3).
(8) Operate the toilets and make sure they flush correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).
5. Close-up(1) Loosen the nut (3) and remove the stud (2) together with the nut (3) and the washer (4).
(2) Clean the nut (3) the stud (2) and the washer (4).
(3) Apply Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) to the threads of the stud (2).
NOTE: Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the drying time of this material.
(4) Install the stud (2) the nut (3) and the washer (4) do not tighten at this time. (5) Push the waste service panel-door (1) to the close position.
(a) If you do not hear a click from the limit switch (5):
1 Open the waste service panel-door (1).
2 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half of a turn.
3 Close the waste service panel-door (1).
4 Do the procedure again until you hear a click from the limit switch (5).
(b) If you hear a click from the limit switch (5):
1 Open the waste service panel-door (1).
2 Turn the stud (2) clockwise half of a turn.
3 Push the waste service panel-door (1) to the closed position.
4 Do the procedure again until you do not hear a click from the limit switch (5).
5 Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise half of a turn.
(6) Turn the stud (2) counterclockwise approximately 2 mm (0.079 in.) more.
(7) Hold the stud (2), and tighten the nut (3).
(8) Operate the toilets and make sure they flush correctly (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-710-009).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the waste service-panel door 172AR.
(3) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
(4) Remove the access platform(s).
