(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position under the waste service panel.
(2) Open the waste service-panel door 172AR.

A. Operational Test of the Waste-Service Panel Door-Switch 44MG

ACTION	RESULT
1.At the waste service panel: make sure that the waste service-panel door 172AR is open.	On the Forward Attendants Panel (FAP) 120RH/miscellaneous panel WATER AND WASTE 124RH: the SYSTEM INOP message is shown.
2.In a lavatory: push the toilet flush switch.	In the Zone 170: the vacuum generator 37MG does not operate.
	In the lavatory: the toilet does not flush.
3.At the waste service panel: close the waste service-panel door 172AR.	On the FAP 120RH/miscellaneous panel WATER AND WASTE 124RH: the SYSTEM INOP message goes off.
4.In a lavatory: push the toilet flush switch.	In the Zone 170: the vacuum generator 37MG starts to operate.
	In the lavatory: the toilet flushes. NOTE: If the potable water tank is empty the toilet flush will operate but there will be no water spray in the toilet bowl.

5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the waste service-panel door 172AR.

NOTE: Make sure that the latches are correctly locked and that the door makes a continuous surface with the skin of the aircraft.

(3) Remove the access platform(s).
