Cleaning of Vacuum Waste Lines with Cleaners


WARNING: DO NOT DO WORK ON THE TOILET WASTE SYSTEM AND THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM AT THE SAME TIME. THIS WILL PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE POTABLE WATER SYSTEM. SUCH CONTAMINATION CAN BE DANGEROUS TO HEALTH.
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO WORK:
  • ON THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM, OR
  • ON PARTS THAT HAVE CONTAMINATION FROM THE WASTE WATER SYSTEM.
WHEN YOU COMPLETE THE WORK PROCEDURE, CLEAN YOUR HANDS WITH SOAP AND WATER. THIS WILL PREVENT INFECTION (WASTE WATER IS DANGEROUS FOR HEALTH).
CAUTION: USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED MATERIALS AND OBEY THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURERS. OTHER MATERIALS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION OF THE COMPONENTS AND THE RELATED AREA.
NOTE: This is an alternative cleaning task to clean Vacuum Waste Lines.

   (1) Do the servicing of the waste holding tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).
   (2) Make sure that the potable water system contains water and is pressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-003).
4. Procedure

WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
A. Cleaning the Toilet Waste Lines
NOTE: It is necessary to start the procedure at the most forward lavatory.
   (1) Use Cleaner-Toilet System Specific - (Material No.08CEB8) :
NOTE: It is necessary to use Cleaner-Toilet System Specific - (Material No.08CEB8) each time that you clean the toilet waste lines.
     (a) Flush the toilet assembly.
     (b) Put 0.25 l (0.07 USgal) of the Cleaner-Toilet System Specific - (Material No.08CEB8) into each toilet bowl.
     (c) Let the toilet bowls soak for 10 minutes.
     (d) Use a BRUSH - BRISTLED to remove any stains or scale in the toilet bowls.
     (e) Flush each toilet assembly once.
   (2) Use Aqueous Cleaner-Toilet System Emulsifier - (Material No.08AHD1) :
NOTE: It is not necessary to use Aqueous Cleaner-Toilet System Emulsifier - (Material No.08AHD1) each time that you clean the toilet waste lines. To know how often to use it (and how much to use), refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
     (a) Put 1 l (0.26 USgal) of the Aqueous Cleaner-Toilet System Emulsifier - (Material No.08AHD1) into each toilet bowl.
     (b) Flush each toilet assembly.
   (3) Do the procedure for all of the toilet assemblies.
5. Close-up

A. Servicing of the Toilet System
   (1) Do the servicing of the waste system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).

B. Close Access
   (1) Dry the area around the toilet with Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (3) Close the lavatory door(s).

C. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
