E. Installation of the Cleaning Equipment
   (1) Put the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN in position adjacent the aft cargo compartment door.
     (a) Prepare a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) with 2.0 l (0.53 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) .
     (b) Put the disinfectant intake hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit into the container.
4. Procedure

B. Cleaning of the Waste Holding Tank
WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
   (1) Operate the VACLAV cleaner unit.
   (2) Open the water-supply shutoff valve.
   (3) Adjust the water pressure so that the pressure at the nozzle is at a maximum of 10 bar (145 psi).
   (4) If the modified internal cleaner with the twin nozzles is used, adjust the water pressure to between 40 and 50 bar (580 and 725 psi).
NOTE: You can set the water pressure of the VACLAV cleaner unit to 200 bar (2900.8 psi). However you must make sure that the final pressure at the nozzle is not more than 10 bar (145 psi).
   (5) Let the VACLAV cleaner unit operate for approximately 15 min.
   (6) Open the disinfectant valve of the VACLAV cleaner unit for approximately 1 min.
   (7) Close the disinfectant valve.
   (8) Reduce the pressure of the water supply at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
   (9) Close the water-supply shutoff valve.
   (10) Disconnect the electrical connector 24VAC at the internal tank cleaner.
   (11) Disconnect the water supply hose at the internal tank cleaner.
   (12) Remove the internal tank cleaner.
   (13) Remove the tank cover adapter.
   (14) Removal of the metal adapter (7).
     (a) Remove the nuts (5) and the washers (6).
     (b) Remove the metal adapter and the packing (8).
   (15) Disconnect the water supply hose at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
   (16) Disconnect the waste drain hose.
WARNING: WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
  • USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
  • DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
LOOSE PARTICLES AND/OR HIGH PRESSURE AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY.
     (a) If necessary use pressurized air to dry the inside of the waste holding tank.

E. Cleaning of the waste holding tank.
WARNING: ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
   (1) Operate the VACLAV cleaner unit.
   (2) Open the water-supply shutoff valve.
   (3) Adjust the water pressure so that the pressure at the nozzle is at a maximum of 10 bar (145 psi).

   (14) Removal of the metal adapter (8).
     (a) Remove the nuts (6) and the washers (7).
     (b) Remove the metal adapter (8) and the packing (9).
   (15) Disconnect the water supply hose at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
   (16) Disconnect the waste drain hose.
WARNING: WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
  • USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
  • DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
