E. Installation of the Cleaning Equipment
(1) Put the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN in position adjacent the aft cargo compartment door.
(a) Prepare a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) with 2.0 l (0.53 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) .
(b) Put the disinfectant intake hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit into the container.
4. Procedure(1) Put the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN in position adjacent the aft cargo compartment door.
(a) Prepare a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) with 2.0 l (0.53 USgal) of Deodorant-Aircraft Toilets - - (Material No.11GCA1) .
(b) Put the disinfectant intake hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit into the container.
Subtask 38-31-00-860-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for Cleaning
(2) Remove the cover (3) and discard the O-ring (4).
(3) Remove the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-000-001).
(4) Examine the liquid level transmitter for contamination.
(5) If the liquid level transmitter is contaminated, clean it in the shop.
(6) Put the AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (8) and the metal adapter (7) in position and install the washers (6) and the nuts (5) (as an alternative to the liquid level transmitter).
(7) Install the tank cover adapter-VACLAV Cleaner on the waste holding tank.
(8) Install the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN on the waste holding tank.
(9) Connect the water supply hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit to the internal tank cleaner.
(10) Connect the electrical connector 24VAC to the internal tank cleaner.
(11) Connect the hose of a water supply source to the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(12) Connect the VACLAV cleaner unit to an electrical source 380VAC 50Hz/440VAC 60Hz.
Subtask 38-31-00-100-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
(1) Remove the screws (2). (2) Remove the cover (3) and discard the O-ring (4).
(3) Remove the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-000-001).
(4) Examine the liquid level transmitter for contamination.
(5) If the liquid level transmitter is contaminated, clean it in the shop.
(6) Put the AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (8) and the metal adapter (7) in position and install the washers (6) and the nuts (5) (as an alternative to the liquid level transmitter).
(7) Install the tank cover adapter-VACLAV Cleaner on the waste holding tank.
(8) Install the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN on the waste holding tank.
(9) Connect the water supply hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit to the internal tank cleaner.
(10) Connect the electrical connector 24VAC to the internal tank cleaner.
(11) Connect the hose of a water supply source to the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(12) Connect the VACLAV cleaner unit to an electrical source 380VAC 50Hz/440VAC 60Hz.
B. Cleaning of the Waste Holding Tank
(2) Open the water-supply shutoff valve.
(3) Adjust the water pressure so that the pressure at the nozzle is at a maximum of 10 bar (145 psi).
(4) If the modified internal cleaner with the twin nozzles is used, adjust the water pressure to between 40 and 50 bar (580 and 725 psi).
(6) Open the disinfectant valve of the VACLAV cleaner unit for approximately 1 min.
(7) Close the disinfectant valve.
(8) Reduce the pressure of the water supply at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(9) Close the water-supply shutoff valve.
(10) Disconnect the electrical connector 24VAC at the internal tank cleaner.
(11) Disconnect the water supply hose at the internal tank cleaner.
(12) Remove the internal tank cleaner.
(13) Remove the tank cover adapter.
(14) Removal of the metal adapter (7).
(a) Remove the nuts (5) and the washers (6).
(b) Remove the metal adapter and the packing (8).
(15) Disconnect the water supply hose at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(16) Disconnect the waste drain hose.
Subtask 38-31-00-410-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
(1) Operate the VACLAV cleaner unit. (2) Open the water-supply shutoff valve.
(3) Adjust the water pressure so that the pressure at the nozzle is at a maximum of 10 bar (145 psi).
(4) If the modified internal cleaner with the twin nozzles is used, adjust the water pressure to between 40 and 50 bar (580 and 725 psi).
NOTE: You can set the water pressure of the VACLAV cleaner unit to 200 bar (2900.8 psi). However you must make sure that the final pressure at the nozzle is not more than 10 bar (145 psi).
(5) Let the VACLAV cleaner unit operate for approximately 15 min. (6) Open the disinfectant valve of the VACLAV cleaner unit for approximately 1 min.
(7) Close the disinfectant valve.
(8) Reduce the pressure of the water supply at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(9) Close the water-supply shutoff valve.
(10) Disconnect the electrical connector 24VAC at the internal tank cleaner.
(11) Disconnect the water supply hose at the internal tank cleaner.
(12) Remove the internal tank cleaner.
(13) Remove the tank cover adapter.
(14) Removal of the metal adapter (7).
(a) Remove the nuts (5) and the washers (6).
(b) Remove the metal adapter and the packing (8).
(15) Disconnect the water supply hose at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(16) Disconnect the waste drain hose.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:
(a) If necessary use pressurized air to dry the inside of the waste holding tank. - USE THE CORRECT PROTECTION (FACE SHIELD OR GOGGLES)
- DO NOT POINT THE AIRFLOW AT YOURSELF OR OTHER PERSONS.
C. Installation of the Cover
(1) Make sure that the screw inserts in the waste holding tank (1) are in a good condition.
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 38-31-61-15-020 O-RING (4).
(3) Put the cover (3) and the O-ring (4) in their installation positions and install the screws (2).
(4) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.165 and 0.135 m.daN (14.60 and 11.95 lbf.in )
.
(5) Lock the screws (2) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) .
(6) Install the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-400-001).
Subtask 38-31-00-860-055-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the screw inserts in the waste holding tank (1) are in a good condition.
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 38-31-61-15-020 O-RING (4).
(3) Put the cover (3) and the O-ring (4) in their installation positions and install the screws (2).
(4) TORQUE the screws (2) to between 0.165 and 0.135 m.daN (14.60 and 11.95 lbf.in )
. (5) Lock the screws (2) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) .
(6) Install the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-400-001).
D. Preparation for Cleaning
(2) Remove the cover (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
(3) Remove the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-000-001).
(4) Put the AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (9) and the metal adapter (8) in position and install the washers (7) and the nuts (6) (as the alternative for the liquid level transmitter).
(5) Install the tank cover adapter-VACLAV Cleaner to the waste holding tank.
(6) Install the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN in the waste holding tank.
(7) Connect the water supply hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit to the internal tank cleaner.
(8) Connect the electrical connector 24VAC to the internal tank cleaner.
(9) Connect the hose of a water supply source to the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(10) Connect the VACLAV cleaner unit to an electrical source 380VAC 50Hz/440VAC 60Hz.
Subtask 38-31-00-100-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHES WHEN YOU DO THIS TASK.
(1) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (2). (2) Remove the cover (4) and discard the O-ring (5).
(3) Remove the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-000-001).
(4) Put the AIPC 38-31-04-34-050 PACKING (9) and the metal adapter (8) in position and install the washers (7) and the nuts (6) (as the alternative for the liquid level transmitter).
(5) Install the tank cover adapter-VACLAV Cleaner to the waste holding tank.
(6) Install the CLEANING EQUIPMENT VACLAV - TANK, INTERN in the waste holding tank.
(7) Connect the water supply hose of the VACLAV cleaner unit to the internal tank cleaner.
(8) Connect the electrical connector 24VAC to the internal tank cleaner.
(9) Connect the hose of a water supply source to the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(10) Connect the VACLAV cleaner unit to an electrical source 380VAC 50Hz/440VAC 60Hz.
E. Cleaning of the waste holding tank.
(2) Open the water-supply shutoff valve.
(3) Adjust the water pressure so that the pressure at the nozzle is at a maximum of 10 bar (145 psi).

(a) Remove the nuts (6) and the washers (7).
(b) Remove the metal adapter (8) and the packing (9).
(15) Disconnect the water supply hose at the VACLAV cleaner unit.
(16) Disconnect the waste drain hose.
WARNING:
WHEN YOU USE COMPRESSED AIR:

F. Installation of the Cover (4)
(1) Make sure that the screw inserts in the waste holding tank (1) are in a good condition.
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 38-31-61-15-020 O-RING (5).
(3) Put the cover (4) and the O-ring (5) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
(4) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.11 and 0.09 m.daN (9.73 and 7.96 lbf.in )
.
(5) Lock the screws (3) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) .
(6) Install the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-400-001).
Subtask 38-31-00-865-091-A (1) Make sure that the screw inserts in the waste holding tank (1) are in a good condition.
(2) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the new AIPC 38-31-61-15-020 O-RING (5).
(3) Put the cover (4) and the O-ring (5) in position and install the washers (2) and the screws (3).
(4) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 0.11 and 0.09 m.daN (9.73 and 7.96 lbf.in )
. (5) Lock the screws (3) with Threadlocking Adhesive-- Medium strength - (Material No.05BAE1) .
(6) Install the liquid level transmitter (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-62-400-001).
G. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Do the leak test of the vacuum system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-31-00-790-002).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install access panel 162DW.
(3) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
