A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the potable water system is deprssurized (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-002).

C. Preparation for Installation
(1) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) If removed, put the insulation sleeve (11) in position.

Subtask 38-14-44-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Overflow valve 8MP
(1) Put the overflow valve (1) in position and install the spacers (8), the washers (9) and the bolts (10).
(2) Remove the blanking plugs.
(3) Connect the connections (2) to the overflow valve 8MP (1) and tighten.
(4) Remove the blanking caps
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the electrical connector 8MP-A (3) to the overflow valve 8MP (1).
(7) Put the control cable (6) in position.
(8) Install the pin (7), the washer (5) and a new AIPC 38-14-48-01-040 COTTER PIN (4).
Subtask 38-14-44-860-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put the overflow valve (1) in position and install the spacers (8), the washers (9) and the bolts (10).
(2) Remove the blanking plugs.
(3) Connect the connections (2) to the overflow valve 8MP (1) and tighten.
(4) Remove the blanking caps
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the electrical connector 8MP-A (3) to the overflow valve 8MP (1).
(7) Put the control cable (6) in position.
(8) Install the pin (7), the washer (5) and a new AIPC 38-14-48-01-040 COTTER PIN (4).
B. Preparation for Test
(1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) If necessary fill the potable water tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
(3) Presssurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(4) Examine the overflow valve 8MP (1) and the connections for leaks.
Subtask 38-14-44-865-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) If necessary fill the potable water tank (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
(3) Presssurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(4) Examine the overflow valve 8MP (1) and the connections for leaks.
NOTE: Leaks are not permitted.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the insulation sleeve (11).
(3) Install the access panel 132PW.
(4) Close the Fwd cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access panel 171AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).

(2) Close the insulation sleeve (11).
(3) Install the access panel 132PW.
(4) Close the Fwd cargo compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Close the access panel 171AL.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
