A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized from the external power (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the potable water tank is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-001).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-14-43-420-051-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Motorized Fill/Overflow-Drain Valve 8MA
(1) Remove the blanking plugs and the blanking caps.
(2) Put the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (18) in its installation position.
(3) Install the bolts (16), the washers (17), the washers (4) and the nuts (5).
(4) Install the bonding strap (12):
(a) Put the bonding strap (12) in its installation position.
(b) Install the screw (13) and the nut (11).
(c) Protect the bonded connection (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802).
(5) Install the control cable (8):
(a) Put the control cable (8) in its installation position.
(b) Install the pin (9) the washers (10) and (7).
(c) Install the new AIPC 38-14-47-01-190 COTTER PIN (6).
(6) Install the distribution lines:
(a) Put the overflow lines in their installation positions and connect the connections (1) and (15).
(b) Put the fill/drain lines in their installation positions and connect the connections (2) and (14).
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector 8MA-A (3) to the fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (18).

B. Preparation for Test
(1) Fill the potable water system with water (Ref. AMM TASK 12-15-38-613-001).
(2) Pressurize the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 38-10-00-614-001).
(3) Examine the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA for leaks.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Do the operational test of the motorized fill/overflow-drain valve 8MA (Ref. AMM TASK 38-14-00-710-001).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access panels 161DW 162DW.
(3) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(4) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-862-001).
