A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).

B. Get Access
(1) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the aft cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to ON.
(4) Remove partition 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
(5) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the Potable Water Service Panel (PWSP).
(6) Open access door 171AL of the PWSP.

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-14-00-820-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Adjustment of the Limit Switch 3MP
(1) Adjust the drain limit switch 3MP.
(a) Turn the fill/drain and overflow handle (3254MM) to the right and pull it out 31.0 +2 mm or -2 mm (1.2205 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.)

DIMENSION A.

NOTE: You must hold the fill/drain and overflow handle in this position to do the adjustment.

(b) Loosen the bolts (2) on the bracket of the switch.
(c) Move the switch assembly in the direction of the control cam (1) until you hear a click.
(d) Tighten the bolts (2).
(e) Make sure that the switch 3MP is aligned with the control cam (1).
(f) Release the fill/drain and overflow handle to the Normal position.
(g) Make sure that Dimension B has a minimum clearance of 2.0 +1 mm or -0 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or +0.0000 in.) between the outer end of the switch and the spring (3).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Functional Test
(1) Do this test.

ACTION	RESULT
1.At the service panel 2023VU: operate the fill/drain and overflow handle from the normal to the drain position.	In the potable water system: the lever of the fill/drain and overflow valve 8MA moves from the closed to the open position. the limit switch 3MP is energized. the motorised drain valve 4MP opens. the control light 2MP comes on.
2.At the service panel 2023VU: operate the fill/drain and overflow handle from the drain to the normal position.	In the potable water system: the lever of the fill/drain and overflow valve 8MA moves from the open to the closed position. the limit switch 3MP is de-energized. the motorised drain valve 4MP closes. the control light 2MP goes off.

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close access door 171AL of the PWSP.
(3) Install partition 161DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(4) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-004).
(7) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

C. De-energize the ground service network
