B. Get Access
   (1) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to use the toilets.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position at the potable water-service panel 171AL.
   (3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the AFT cargo compartment door.
   (4) Open the AFT cargo compartment door.
   (5) Remove the access panel 161DW.
   (6) Open the potable water-service panel 171AL.

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-14-00-820-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Adjustment of the Limit Switches 3MP and 5MP
   (1) Adjust the overflow valve-limit switch 5MP.
     (a) Turn the fill/drain handle (3254MM) to the left and pull it out 31.0 +2 mm or -2 mm (1.2205 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.)
Dimension A.
NOTE: You must hold the fill/drain handle in this position to do the adjustment.
     (b) Loosen the bolts (2) on the bracket of the switch.
     (c) Move the switch assembly in the direction of the control cam (1) until you hear a click.
     (d) Tighten the bolts (2).
     (e) Make sure that the switch 5MP is aligned with the control cam (1).
     (f) Release the control handle to the Normal position.
     (g) Make sure that Dimension B has a minimum clearance of 2.0 +1 mm or -0 mm (0.0787 +0.0394 in. or +0.0000 in.) between the outer end of the switch and the spring (3).
   (2) Adjust the drain limit switch 3MP.
     (a) Turn the fill/drain handle (3254MM) to the right and pull it out 31.0 +2 mm or -2 mm (1.2205 +0.0787 in. or -0.0787 in.)

NOTE: You must hold the fill/drain handle in this position to do the adjustment.
     (b) Loosen the bolts (2) on the bracket of the switch.

C. Functional Test
   (1) Do this test.

RESULT
1.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • operate the fill/drain handle from the normal to the drain position.
In the potable water system:
  • the lever of the fill/drain valve 16MA moves from the closed to the open position.
  • the limit switch 3MP is energized.
  • the motorised overflow valve 8MP opens.
  • the motorised drain valves 14MP and 4MP open.
  • the control lights 6MP, 12MP, and 2MP come on.
2.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • operate the fill/drain handle from the drain to the normal position.
In the potable water system:
  • the lever of the fill/drain valve 16MA moves from the open to the closed position.
  • the limit switch 3MP is de-energized.
  • the motorised drain valves 14MP and 4MP closes.
  • the motorised overflow valve 8MP closes.
  • the control lights 6MP, 12MP, and 2MP go off.
3.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • operate the fill/drain handle from the normal to the fill position.
In the potable water system:
  • the lever of the fill/drain valve 16MA moves from the closed to the open position.
  • the limit switch 5MP is energized.
  • the motorised overflow valve 8MP opens.
  • the control light 6MP comes on.
4.At the service panel 2023VU:
  • operate the fill/drain handle from the drain to the normal position.
In the potable water system:
  • the lever of the fill/drain valve 16MA moves from the open to the closed position.
  • the limit switch 3MP is de-energized.
  • the motorised overflow valve 8MP closes.
  • the control light 6MP goes off.

A. Do the servicing of the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panel 161DW.
   (3) Close the AFT cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
   (4) Close the access panel 171AL.
   (5) Remove the access platform(s).
   (6) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
