A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001)
   (2) Make sure that the warning notices are in position at the potable water service panel.
   (3) Remove the old sealant from the indication box with a non metallic scraper.

4. Procedure
Subtask 38-14-00-420-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Indication Box 2023VU
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Install the new AIPC 38-14-04-05-080 SEAL (5) or AIPC 38-14-84-01-125 SEAL (5).
   (4) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.
14DBB1) to the surface of the indication box (6).
   (5) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the area of the potable-water service panel that makes the interface with the indication box (6).
   (6) Put the indication box (6) together with the seal (5) in their correct installation positions.
   (7) Install the washers (4) and the screws (3).
   (8) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 1.7 and 1.3 m.N (15.04 and 11.50 lbf.in ) T.
   (9) Remove the remaining sealant that is around the indication box (6).
   (10) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the interface of the indication box (6) and the potable-water service panel.
   (11) If the indication lights (1) and (2) with their caps are removed, install them.
   (12) Tighten the caps of the indication lights (1) and (2) with your hand.
   (13) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (14) Connect the electrical connector (7).
Subtask 38-14-00-420-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of Indication Boxes 2023VU and 2021VU
   (1) Install the indication box (6) as follows:
     (a) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Install the new AIPC 38-14-04-05-080 SEAL (5) or AIPC 38-14-84-01-120 SEAL (5).
     (d) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.
14DBB1) to the surface of the indication box (6).
     (e) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the area of the potable-water service panel that makes the interface with the indication box (6).
     (f) Put the indication box (6) together with the seal (5) in their correct installation positions.
     (g) Install the washers (4) and the screws (3).
     (h) TORQUE the screws (3) to between 1.7 and 1.3 m.N (15.04 and 11.50 lbf.in ) T.
     (i) Remove the remaining sealant that is around the indication box (6).
     (j) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the interface of the indication box (6) and the potable-water service panel.
     (k) If the indication lights (1) and (2) with their caps (8) are removed, install them.
     (l) Tighten the body of the caps (8) with your hand.
     (m) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (n) Connect the electrical connector (7).
   (2) Install the indication box (16) as follows:
     (a) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (b) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
     (c) Install the new AIPC 38-14-04-05-080 SEAL (15) or AIPC 38-14-84-01-120 SEAL (15).
     (d) Apply Release Agent-- Liquid Wax - (Material No.
14DBB1) to the surface of the indication box (16).
     (e) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the area of the potable-water service panel that makes the interface with the indication box (16).
     (f) Put the indication box (16) together with the seal (15) in their installation positions.
     (g) Install the washers (14) and the screws (13).
     (h) TORQUE the screws (13) to between 1.7 and 1.3 m.N (15.04 and 11.50 lbf.in ) T.
     (i) Remove the remaining sealant that is around the indication box (16).
     (j) Apply a bead of Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) to the interface of the indication box (16) and the potable-water service panel.
     (k) If the indication lights (1) and (2) with their caps (8) are removed, install them.
     (l) Tighten the body of the caps (8) with your hand.
     (m) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (n) Connect the electrical connector (17).

C. Operational Test of the Indicator Light 2023VU
   (1) Push and hold the cap (1) to test that the light 10MA comes ON.
   (2) Release the cap (1) to switch OFF the light.
   (3) Push and hold the cap (2) to test that the light 2MP comes ON.
   (4) Release the cap (2) to switch OFF the light.

C. Operational Test of the Indicator Light 2023VU/2021VU
   (1) Push and hold the indicator (8) to test that the control lamp (1) comes ON.
   (2) Release the indicator (8) to switch OFF the control lamp (1).
   (3) Push and hold the indicator (8) to test that the control lamp (2) comes ON.
   (4) Release the indicator (8) to switch OFF the control lamp (2).
   (5) Push and hold the indicator (8) to test that the control lamp (11) comes ON.
   (6) Release the indicator (8) to switch OFF the control lamp (11).
   (7) Push and hold the indicator (8) to test that the control lamp (12) comes ON.
   (8) Release the indicator (8) to switch OFF the control lamp (12).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Remove the access platform(s).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
