C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 1M(3 FT) in position below the potable-water service-panel door (referred to as the service door) 171AL.
   (2) Open the service door 171AL.
   (3) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons:
  • Not to do the servicing of the potable water system.
4. Procedure
Subtask 38-14-00-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Indication Box 2023VU
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (7).
   (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (3) Remove the sealant that is around the flange of the indication box (6) and the potable-water service panel with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
   (4) If necessary, remove the indication lights (1) and (2) with their caps from the potable-water service panel.
   (5) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (4).
   (6) Remove the indication box (6) together with the seal (5).
   (7) Discard the seal (5).
Subtask 38-14-00-020-050-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of Indication Boxes 2023VU and 2021VU
   (1) Remove the indication box (6) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connector (7).
     (b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Remove the sealant that is around the flange of the indication box (6) and the potable-water service panel with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (d) If necessary, remove the caps (8) with the indication lights (1) and (2) from the potable-water service panel.
     (e) Remove the screws (3) and the washers (4).
     (f) Remove the indication box (6) together with the seal (5).
     (g) Discard the seal (5).
   (2) Remove the indication box (16) as follows:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
     (a) Disconnect the electrical connector (17).
     (b) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
     (c) Remove the sealant that is around the flange of the indication box (16) and the potable-water service panel with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
     (d) If necessary, remove the caps (8) with the indication lights (11) and (12) from the potable-water service panel.
     (e) Remove the screws (13) and the washers (14).
     (f) Remove the indication box (16) together with the seal (15).
     (g) Discard the seal (15).
